Indeed, Trump announce d he would take the cover off the cookie jar like any irresponsible child.

So we had a quick rise in the DOw.

It was a very short lived sugar high.

Now, in spite of a equally irresponsible tax cut, which will cripple us down the road, we have had 19 months of stagnation.
Yeah, yeah, I've heard all the loony left drivel before.

Didn't work?

LOL
You might need a basic economics course.

Eight years of the worst recovery since WW II isn't anybody's definite of a successful economy. The economy came back in spite of Obama, not because of him

I am a republican. Hardly a lefty.

I am however principled, reasoned and educated.

Being Republican doesn't mean you can't spew loony left nonsense.

I am not certain what your point is here. If you are taking issue with my claim that Trump has done nothing for the market in the last two years with this graph, then its you that can not read graphs.

The Dow closed on 1/19/18 at 26,017 Stock Market Analysis: Dow Jones Close 1/19/18 Stock Market Closing Prices
The Dow closed on 8/29/19 at 26,362. Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) Stock Historical Prices & Data

That would mean the Dow gained all of 345 (or 1.3% in 19 months). That is pretty pathetic. The bank is paying higher interest.

If your graph is intended to affirm my point that the market did great under Obama and continued that trend during the first year of the Trump presidency.... well, thank you for agreeing.

Overdrive? A $1T stimulus and all you get is 2.9% growth. Nothing special. Perhaps you were referring to overdrive on a Ford Fiesta.
I said that the overall tend for the last 10 years on the graph showed an increase.
That is exactly correct.

Scary how high LBJ, Carter and Nixon are.

Those were on election day, way before polarization set in. Nixon LBJ and Carter were at a time when both parties had their liberal and conservative wings. There wasn't that much of an ideological divide between parties. Also there were a heck of a lot less personal political attacks. Republicans and Democrats didn't hate each other either.

Funny how all reasoned posters understand the question and all Trumper's pretend they don't.

Oh, most folks understand the question as phrased okay and your aim. What is funny is that you don't understand that we do, and then object in various ways to closed statements posed as genuine poll questions. My reply was somewhat tongue in cheek. You should happy with that.

CP

Indeed, making an effort to respect your fellow countrymen is an imposition to TRumpets.

You're talking about sending people to "reeducation camps" and "cleansing" them. In a thread you started where the premise is that you'll never "forgive" half the country.

:screwy

You may want to take a basic reading comprehension course.

While your posts do have comprehensibility problems and border on illiteracy, your intent is crystal clear, and creepy as ****.

Simple question. Will we forgive our neighbors who enabled this nightmare?
I will absolutely forgive those Pubs who voted for Donald Trump in the general election out of partisan desperation. A lot of them were very naïve. They thought that Trump would 'grow into' the job. That he would learn to be more presidential, and he would learn that to get anything through Congress, he'd learn to compromise and to find ways to get along with his political opponents - both on the left and the right, at least enough to keep some legislation flowing.

I don't know how they figured that this 70 year old man was going to learn lessons and make this basic character change, he had managed not to over the previous 50 years, but I realize that they felt had few choices once the 11 other candidates began to drop off one after another until all they had was Cruz and Trump. I will not forgive those who cast ballots for Trump over that army of better options in the primary, and I am having one hell of a time understanding those that continue to support this white nationalist lying bigot. Those have to be 'the deplorables', because nobody with a conscience or sense of patriotism could feel anything but shame or outrage anymore.

I said that the 10 year trend showed an increase.
That is true.
The DJIA has increased about 7,700 points during Trump's tenure.
Trump inherited a very strong economy from Obama.
The DJIA increased about 10,600 points during Obama's total tenure.
Obama inherited a lousy economy from Bush.

I keep reading your post and seeing your location and it just cements the stereotype.

Strange. I thought most reasoned folks rejected stereotyping and bigotry. You seem to embrace it as a convenient fact. If you have the mistaken notion that you are superior to any other from Kentucky, you either don't know Kentuckians or you don't really know yourself.

I read your reply...Thank you.
I also forgive those who would twist a successful presidency into a failure, because they didn't to do everything right. Do you know of any President without shortcoming(s)? Who was it?

You go with that.

You you read my posts in the thread you will see I do not condemn those that voted for TRump, it is those that still support him that are traitors to our country.

I am certainly superior to you.
