Our hegemonic empire will one day fall and when that time comes we could learn to cope with it in a more humane way or we could go with barbarism. Our current trajectory is the latter.

The USA is a unique experiment in human history. It did away with monarchy rule, and became composed of people from all over the world. It is a world community, brought together through an evolving common culture; melting pot. Most other countries, have long standing national traditions and identities, which is based on a narrower ethnic and racial demographics. The diversity of America has given America more empathy, because some of its parts, represent everyone, everywhere.

China has all the moving parts of a super power, but China is not based on the same level of racial and ethnic diversity. Their sociopolitical structure, works well for the Chinese people, but it may not extrapolate, world wide, as easily as the USA. The USA is a culture with moving parts that touch all the nations. For example, not all nations have the strong work ethic of the Chinese. America, takes this into account, because of its diversity and melting pot; laid back work ethic of tropical nations. It strikes a balance between hard work and play. America has freedom of religion, which allows all religious to practice in peace, so one is not fighting the other.

President Trump understands this unique experiment called America. He also understands a strong America can be a stabilizing and averaging force, for the good of all, since it represents all these ingredients via the melting pot. But America needs to lead from the front; super power, and not the side or back. It is easiest to tweak the world community with an array of tools from all over the world. Within the diversity of America, are the bridges to all nations.

Wellwisher, I wish you well and hang onto the same hopes you seem to share. We Americans represent in the main, all of the cultures from around the world, and as you mention, benefit from that diversity. I Genuinely Believe, that those who immigrate here(legally) know what to bring and what to leave behind. It Seems that the legal immigration system allows the immigrant and resident's to benefit.

I actually heard the President say that we would get tired of winning. I see you have reached that point early on. I am more of the give us more winning school. Selfish? Perhaps. Tired of being an American taxpayer funding an ungrateful and unquenchable world? Certainly so.

I also heard our president Trump say that we would get tired of winning, and he wasn't lying. He was actually saying we will never tire of winning.

Naturally, you were duped by Trump's three-dimensional chess move.

Indeed and Trump never played chess with anybody he couldn't run a primary opponent against.
