I am watching the Packers game against Washington. Now I am a slight Packers fan having started watching the game living in Texas and was a Cowboy fan originally. This game is so one sided in its refs calls I can't even begin to say. The best example was a sack by the Washington player who picked Aron Rogers up and ground him into the ground. should have been penalty called as it obviously violated the new rule against such plays. A couple of series later Clay Mathews tackled the Washington quarterback and did a tackle with a lot less force, but was called for it anyway. It almost seems like the NFL has decided who they want to win and have the refs trend toward that team. It doesn't take many calls to change the complexion of the game. Now this may sound paranoid, but when I think with the money involved, the NFL wants new blood in the playoffs to keep interest in the game high in those cities which haven't been to the playoffs in years.

At least this is a complaint about something other than men who choose to take a knee.

BTW I did see a replay of that "roughing the passer" call against Green Bay. It was pathetic.

You are definitely right that the NFL has to much influence on the game.

Tom Brady get's harrased and beaten on a weekly basis and the refs keep that flag in their pockets. The NFL does everything in their power to provide a disadvantage to the Patriots yet somehow they keep winning.

There was a similar call just now in the DAL/SEA game. There will be arguments galore.......

Is it a coincidence that the New Orleans Saints win the Super Bowl following Katrina? Seems a little too good of a story to be true.....

I never got beyond trying to figure out how they could cram an entire eleven minutes of running around and throwing a ball into a mere two hours of advertising.

i watch the Super Bowl every year, as i like an excuse to eat pizza and drink beer. however, i do not like concussionball. i played it enough back in the day.

That is my problem with the sport.

I stopped watching because of the players taking a knee... it is a shame and that pre-game ritual has ruined the game!

I can say officiating has always had good and bad games. Who cares about someone kneeling for the national anthem? Do you get off the sofa and stand with your hand over your heart?

I am surprised none of the complaints are about watching 3 minutes of sports followed by 20 minutes of commentary and replay then 10 minutes of commercials, rinse and repeat over and over until the game is over. Really record a football game and edit out all the commentary and commercials, there is pretty much nothing to watch at that point.

That explains the Redskins' win (and by a surprising amount)

I have gambler friends who swear by what you say. I can't say I disagree. It only takes a few calls to swing a game.

I found tracking the ticker to be the most fun. If I see a game get interesting, I dive in into the box score and start reading the scoring drives, play by play. Now and then, click for a replay.

So far, I have not found a need to actually watch a game.

That is like reading yesterday’s newspapers......I realize many people have no clue what a newspaper is.......

Kneeling is disrespectful and serves no purpose. They are there to do a job, not protest. Do you protest about things at work? I would think your management would not and should not stand for this. If owners would start fining players for kneeling it would stop pdq.

Actually it kind of does. There is a picture of Clay Mathews taking down their quarterback where he got called for the penalty of ruffing the passer. The picture is taken from behind the quarterback and what it shows is an offensive lineman with his arm out looking kike he is choking the defensive lineman. It is an obvious hold, but no call except on thee perfectly legal tackle by Mathews. On the play that Arod was driven into the ground, the refs said they missed it. Not a good excuse as there are seven refs, one whose job is to be spying that very thing. Another case of the NFL backing their refs and not admitting they might have changed the course of the games.

I am the boss of my several business's. When an injustice exists and there is a way to protest then do it peacefully. Kneeling brings attention to the problem and is peaceful. Do you stand up and cover your heart with your right hand when the anthem plays?

Nobody cares that they are kneeling... Jesus.

If I'm at a game, definitely. Don't you?

The more penalties the Packers get the better.

I know what a newspaper is, it is an oversized rolling paper, but it never sticks together very well, also that thing used to clean windows better than paper towels. What you thought newspapers had news or something, man you must have lived with the dinosaurs:roll:

I said this a hundred times here, I'll say it again. I don't agree with all the new rules, BUT the NFL is now 99.99% a QB league now. All you have to do is watch last nights game to see that...

And the NFL is going to do everything they can to protect the QB. That's their ratings, that's their money.

I stopped watching because of the players taking a knee... it is a shame and that pre-game ritual has ruined the game!

So something that has nothing to do with the game, that happens before the game, ruined the game in some way
