I was wondering the same thing.

While I'm good with Mueller deciding there was no collusion I'm a little less convinced on obstruction simply because of all the president's known actions. Whether it be asking people to take actions or even tweets that could have been witness intimidation.

Do I trust the "summary" of Barr to not have extreme bias? Nope.

If people like bullseye are content with the summary then great, drop the topic and talk about something else of interest. For the people still wanting to see the report they should get that opportunity and the sooner the better.

Whether Republicans and Conservatives realize it or not, they are normalizing lack of transparency in the government and our politicians. I understand that it serve the current political agenda, but in the long run, it won't be good for anyone.

Once again, Barr is going to release as much of the report as he can; it contains possible classified information as well as some Grand Jury data it is illegal to make public. Barr has gone on record as having pledged to release as much as possible.

Surely they must realize how bad this looks. It’s just a matter of time before it is subpoenaed. Waiting so long, or downright just refusing to release it, only make it look worse.

It's only been a week or so. I would imagine the redaction process takes awhile. Not only does classified material need to be redacted but also the names of all people who haven't been charged with anything. IOW, you're not going to be seeing many names. I know to a certainty that there will be whining about the redactions. We all know that.

None of this needs to be or should be redacted for the HPSCI... They have full authority to read ANY of the classified information in the report.

I don't need to "read up" on the gang of eight, the four democrats I mentioned have unlimited access to ALL classified information. I never said all of them could release the report, just that they have the authority to read it.

Of those, Schiff is the chairman of the HPSCI... As outlined above, if he follows the process and gets the votes, he can release the full report.

If Schffty, as a member of the Gang of Eight, gets access to the full Mueller report he CANNOT release it to the public.

Keep in mind that those rules you presented only apply to House committees...not to Schiffty and the Gang of Eight.

I mean, Barr doesn't have Strzok around anymore. You know...that guy went through hundred of thousands of emails and didn't find any that needed to be worried about...in less than a week.

It's not being released because it's damaging to Trump. The White House doesn't want anyone to see it. The plan is to redact everything that makes Trump look bad by using the law as an excuse.

They figure the legal challenges will take months or years and nobody will care by the time it's released.

The nation has been eagerly awaiting the Mueller report for two years now. It came out, and is apparently over 300 pages long. Barr released a four page summary of it, and that was that.

President Trump has said he has no problems with a full report being released. Is the justice dept worried about sources and methods being compromised? If so, they could just release a classified copy to Congress.

The longer they keep this eagerly awaited document from people who want to see it, it seems the worse it’s going to be for them. So what’s the hold up?

Because there are 300 pages to go through for legal redactions.

Actually it was 3 FBI agents (not just Strzok) in 12 hours, but why not lie? And why not try to deflect to "but....her emails!" again anyway? Maybe after the 874957 failed effort, it may stick. Or not.
