Why don't these nuts ever get arrested?

You say they were not intimidating anyone. I would bet my bottom dollar the majority of legislators felt intimated when they came out of their offices and saw a bunch of idiots dressed up in para-military garb carrying weapons of war.

Those kind of protests will not get anyone anywhere. As I said, their wasting there time. They belong in the woods shooting beer cans away from the general public.

the 2nd amendment is all about the fact that the people, not the legislators, are the final arbiters of law in the United States.
keep pushing draconian laws and you will find out exactly what I mean.

I support these kinds of protests... After all, these kinds of protests in the late 60's led Ronald Reagan to sign the Mulford Act...

LOL.... 3-4 hours.... (That's the length of time for a civil war with these yahoos... PS. That includes a 30 minute snack break...)

They should have called up the swat teams and arrested them all. If any did not cooperate and tried to "defend" themselves with those guns just shoot them. this was an armed insurrection and should be treated as such. As Gopers often say, elections have consequences and the stupids that did this today must pahh a price.

They'll pay the same price the republicans just paid in Wisconsin. They lost their elections, may I say by a lot.

no one is fighting a civil war, nor does anyone want to.

Oh, I know... about 95% of these yahoos will go running after the first shot is fired...

so you do not think the citizens of the united states should be the final word on how it is run?

Do you think these yahoos represent the citizens of the united states?

Do you think these yahoos represent the citizens of the united states?

absolutely, part of them anyway. just as much as anyone else who is a citizen. why are they automatically yahoos to you? do they scare you?

LOL... Scare me? No, I find them annoying, childish and ignorant... What percentage of the citizenry would you guess they represent?

How could being confronted by masked and screaming men with weapons be intimidating?

Protesting is fine, holding one wherever you want without a permit to hold it there is surely illegal.

And that is fine, if they want to break the law to make their point. But for that law breaking to have any moral authority, they must insist on being arrested. Otherwise, it's just thuggery.

Gaining immunity while the sissies stay behind drawn shades.

So if civil war isn't the point, what is it? If they are just protesting, why be armed? After all, right-wingers srgue that we have a 2nd amendment so the people can be armed in order to overthrow the government. These men have come to the state capital armed.

i'm gonna bookmark this post for the November elections (federal and state).

This is nuts and should be responded to.

Multiple armed gunmen storm Michigan’s State House, State police are protecting
@GovWhitmer and blocking the gunmen from gaining access to the house floor.

Video at link.

Antifa thugs DO get arrested for their violence and destruction. But their arrests are never reported in the media.

"Lawful intent". What was their intent ludin?

evidently their intent was to protest.
which is 100% legal.

SO why are you having issues with a lawful and legal constitutionally protected protest?

Insecurity about masculinity is an important part of Trump support.

they'll go home and kiss their wives and kids.

really? what do you find the politicians that aren't listening to the citizenry much anymore and only out to make a buck or gain power?

you think if we keep bleating at them to please change, its going to all be great tomorrow?

now I'm not endorsing violence in any way... but a friendly reminder of who they work for is just fine.
and when you start passing draconian laws that probably aren't even constitutional, without any regard whatsoever for your citizenry, then yeah you probably need one.

I believe legal protests involve a permit that requires a specific location for that protest. Did they have a permit to protest in the state capital building?

you'd have to ask them. I see them as lawfully exercising their rights however.

YOur feelings to not matter. If they are not threatening you. If they are not pointing a gun at you. then you are not being intimidated.
please read the law i posed. OPen carry is legal in Micigan.

Your opinion of what they should be doing is irrelevent.
they are exercising their constitutional rights.

once again leftist against peoples constitutional rights.

this is why we need to change high schools and what they teach.
US constitution and right classes should be mandatory before they leave high school.

then we don't end up with people with this type of menality.

I can't believe we don't have laws preventing firearms from statehouse grounds. It would be so easy for some numnuts to spout off and someone starts firing.

I would bet some new legislation will be coming soon.

i wouldn't.

The 1st amendment says otherwise. Please see the constitution.
The state capital is a public owned building. that is owned by the public.

the only time a permit is required is if you are going to close down a street or other venue that would
inhibit other people. To my knowledge people are free to go in an out of the capital building and they are not
being stopped in anyway.

SO no permit is needed. There is nothing in the constitution that says you need a permit to protest.
