Why don't these nuts ever get arrested?

They have a LEGAL right, in Michigan, currently to open carry... There is no constitutional right to open carry...

Sure there is. The term is shall not be infringed.

They're a bunch of ***** ass "rugged individualists" melting down because they cant stuff their faces at OK corral and Bob Evans. They need to retreat to their safe spaces in their bunkers.

At this point, Im going to have to assume you havent even seen any of the video or images from the protest and are literally just ****ting yourself on cue. Reliably. Like normal.

Do armed cops in the capital building cause you fear? Do they intimidate you?

No there wouldn't. Virginia just had a 25,000 strong armed protest at the governors office. Not a shot was fired.

Are there armed soldiers on the roof of the Governor's office everyday?

I didn't say that group would, but a situation like that at the WH would be handled very differently.
Dood...seriously...whats the difference between protestors in Michigan, some of whom happen to be carrying firearms, and a collection of protestors in DC and the WH, some of whom might be carrying firearms?

Protesters in DC never make it into the WH.

Not in the least, and hillbillies with guns don't either. What does intimidate me however are ignorant careless hillbillies that many are likely carrying a virus that will infect and kill many. These stupid ****s are a threat to the health and safety to the public

You are killing me, Smalls....

Whats the difference between Michigan, the capital building, protestors and open carry........and DC, the WH, protestors, and open carry?

I told you what the difference would be, you just don't get it, Smalls.

Here is the text of the First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Where is the exception for being a "POS", again?

YOu just quoted it how do you not know? as i said you need to go back and read the constitution again.
you don't seem to understand it very well.

Oh, that's right...it's not there. The courts have decided upon this exception, something you seem to admit when you cite Brandenburg. Thanks for proving my point.
Back to the start of this, again...yes, there can be reasonable restrictions to Freedom of Speech decided upon by the courts, which includes permits for protests, even if they aren't specifically spelled out in the First Amendment. This is because the courts have the power to interpret the law and can place reasonable restrictions on the First Amendment.

No it is there and was always there it unfortuantly took a court to say that it was there to stop the government from unconstitutionally punishing people.
again you don't seem to understand what the constitution is.

the constitution is a limit on government.
not the people.

This is exaclty why they need to teach constitutional history classes and make them mandatory for high school students.
I blame the public education system for your lack of knowledge on what the constitution is.

Wait...why dont cops with guns intimidate you in the least? How many times have you posted in threads about cops shooting black kids (think back...I realize...its been a veyr long time since there has been a black life that mattered for people to protest about).

Now...the people of Michigan...the ones you deem 'hillbillies'...you suddenly change your tune. Dood...thats AWESOME. You are no longer peeing yourself and threatened and intimidated by guns! I'm so ****ing proud of you I could give you a big ol manly hug right here in front of everyone. NOW you are addressing a completely different concern...one that has nothing to do with firearms...the protestors lack of social distancing and what you perceive as an irresponsible act that might spread or at least further the virus.

Good job!

I told you what the difference would be, you just don't get it, Smalls.
Oh believe me...I DO get it...I dont think you do. There is ONE very large difference between the two incidents described. What is the difference?

First issue. These clowns are carrying guns to intimidate the governor into opening up businesses, no other reason.
Second issue, They are gathering in large numbers and NOT quarantining, and that is threatening the health and safety of the public. They are going to kill people. And the longer they continue with these protests, the longer the lock-down will continue. I'd bet dollars and dimes that you wouldn't be anywhere near that crowd. You're safe carrying water for them from the safety of your computer.

"A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Keep and bear arms...

The Supreme Court has declared both that that includes military weapons a militiaman might reasonably be expected to carry (see US V Miller) and that the 2nd Amendment has a broad application beyond the militia (see US v Heller), then yes...of course...the people have the right to open carry. And its specifically enumerated in the Constitution. Hell..unlike gay marriage where neither homosexuality OR marriage is found anywhere in the Constitution, the right to keep and bear arms is unquestionable specifically addressed in our founding document.

LMAO.... Stick to your current career, law is not your strong point... Does California allow open carry?

They are not black.
Tragic how often leftists rush to push their idiot leftist narratives...

WE arent the ones that see race in everything. Unless you are implying that if they were black the cops would have mowed them down. Is THAT what you are saying????

Sure there is. The term is shall not be infringed.

I'm sure that is comforting who have been prosecuted, fined and imprisoned for violating state laws prohibiting carrying....

Oh hey...no...dont get this twisted. You wont find me not recognizing REALITY, even though current reality is wrong.

Sure...lots of states have restricted the rights of their citizens...I place that on their citizens for not challenging them. But isnt it funny how many times states pass new laws, they are overturned when someone finally DOES take them on. All I can tell you is how its SUPPOSED to work. Do YOU support the states rights to impose laws that restricts peoples rights even those specifically protected under the Constitution?

LOL... Ignoring reality can often result in legal troubles... I agree with Ronald Reagan...

When you show up with a firearm you feel way more masculine than if you show up with a sign.

And as I've often said down here in the South, many men feel that when you're a guy on the street with a sidearm you're a man. When you're a guy on the street without a firearm you're just a guy.

It seems to somehow make those people feel superior. Or somehow levels the playing field for those who need a boost.

Yet the ONLY PEOPLE intimidated and pissing themselves is you and the others on this site. The same people that always rush to piss yourselves over **** that in no way involves you...especially if it involves guns, Meanwhile...in your own city, blood can flow like a river and...crickets.

Second issue...fine...we can have differing opinions about the protests. im not sure if they are the right thing to do right now, just like Im not sure if we are ready to open things up or not. I think there is room for reasonable discussion. I think what the people of Michigan WANT is reasonable discussion and what they GOT was a governor who sat with her thumb up her ass for a few months, whined because she wasnt getting things from the fed, then when it was exposed that the reason she didnt get anything FROM the fed was because she never ASKED , decided to blame everyone else and overreact instead of launching reasonable policies.

People want real and honest dialogue. Somewhere in between concern about the pandemic there has to also be a real discussion on the economy and the financial straights of people not on government assistance. There are a WHOLE LOT of people that are just fine with this government shut down...as long as it doesnt impact their welfare, unemployment, and social security checks. Everyone else is struggling and there are no answers. And franly the idiotic left vs right bull**** about the pandemic doesnt help.
