Who was more unpopular Donald Trump or George W Bush?

He started the concept of non-win, defense only police-action wars with the Korean war disaster, followed then by the same model in Vietnam.

Defense only? I guess you forgot Operation Rolling Thunder, a three year ('65-'68), sustained aggressive bombing campaign against North Vietnam. You threw everything you had, short of nukes, at the North Vietnamese.

Both Bush and Trump received a lot of negative press and have terms that describe a pathological hatred of them from non-supporters.
Everyone now talks about Trump Derangement Syndrome but the term was first applied to W. Bush.
I think Bush was the first president that truly ruined our standing in the world and made some people traveling abroad hesitant to admit to being American.
It will be interesting to see what their reputations are like 20 years from now and I find it strange Bush's image is being whitewashed now.

No president had been able to match Trump Net Approval ratings.
No other president has been able to match the levels Trump has maintained throughout how presidency.
Amazing consistency.
Everyone is saying so.

How Popular Is Donald Trump? | FiveThirtyEight

The problem comparing presidents from 100 years ago is that society has changed. Society has changed even since Reagan.

Now between Bush JR and Trump not much time has gone and some of Bush's henchmen are serving the Trump White House.

Bush JR got a lot of goodwill from 11/9, and pissed that away plus more with the Iraq war. The US press was almost 100% patriotic after 11/9 and never really questioned the administration on anything. That changed over time when the truth came out and the lies could not be defended anymore.

Trump has had the media (minus the right wing media) "against" him not because of out right bias like with Bush JR after 11/9, but because Trump says and does stupid things and lies. Only media that protects him is Fox and Briebart & Co.

So who is worse. Lets put it this way, rather have Bush JR again than Trump... And I hated Bush JR for what he has done in the middle east. At least Bush JR did not openly support Neo Nazi scum and have such persons in his administration.

Bush was just dumb as a rock- something which was exploited by Cheney who was the real brains behind the operation. But Bush himself was generally a nice guy and meant well. He was not malignant.

Trump is also dumb as a rock, but proudly wears it as a badge of honor. He is also a malignant and malicious narcissist and unapologetic and pathologic liar. That makes him far more dangerous, IMO.

Trump

No president got as much negative fake news as President Trump. Do you remember collusion delusion and 2.5 years of fake news? CNN lost half its audience once everyone realize they were fake news. Obama got the most positive fake news of all time. Remember when Obama got the Nobel Peace prize, even before he did anything worthy, and before he went on to destabilize the middle east resulting in million of refuges? Talk about the fake news fix being in.

There is a wild card that has yet to play out. The collusion delusion trials, where fake news tried to decrease Trump's poll numbers, with negativity, to cover up crimes of Obama and the Democrats, has yet to be fully addressed with truth news. This is where Obama and spy gate will go down in infamy as being more corrupt than Nixon and Watergate. We will need to have new polls in 2020, after fake news has been debunked and neutralized and the crimes of fake news Nobel Laureate are exposed.

Yeah but bush kept us safe after 9/11 and he was responsible for killing bin laden and got rid of the evil saddam. Just because he left the country in a financial train wreck is no reason to judge him harshly.

It's sarcasm for those who don't recognize it.

It is not a problem with either president. It is a sickness of the people afflicted with the disorder of hate. Hate and vengeance are a mental disorder that destroys the person mentally every bit as bad as a disease such as diabetes that destroys the body when not controlled.

Trump, by a mile. With good reason, too.

Bush and other domestic war criminals will be whitewashed because that is how the victorious write history. In the case of Bush, his Global War Of Terror must be protected in the history books. Any lies and deceptions will be deleted from the official narrative.

They do the same with the Vietnam war. Modern texts describe it in a sort of nostalgic way, making it sound as though what happened there was not a crime.

That's a no-brainer.

The hatred for President Trump is palpable. You can feel it in the demonstrations. You can feel it in the vile words that are used to describe him.

The dislike for President Bush was based on his disastrous decision to invade Iraq. But there was no attempt to impeach him. Besides, many people still lauded him for his leadership after 9/11. And the media never offered to lead any resistance to his government. Besides, his opponents in both elections were gracious losers, unlike a certain woman.

Well now that the constant lies and hate from the left have focused on Trump The truth about Bush will hopefully prevail.

What are you talking about? The UN mandate was to push the DPRK back across the 38th parallel. That was done.

It happened under his watch. I'm sure if happened under Gore you would be up in arms. So yes, Bush let 9/11 happen, and he started 2 unnecessary wars and he ****ed the country by not stopping the sub prime crisis. Somehow republicans managed to pick someone even more incompetent. Someone so dumb he can barely read. Someone so immoral he slept with a pornstar while being married.

You apparently have a problem with simple English as well as facts. EVERY DEMOCRAT, except one, voted to go to Afghanistan. They obviously thought there was a legitimate reason to go. It's hilarious that you would blame Bush for the housing crisis, too. It was Congress' job to oversee such things, not the President's. It was Democrats always hollering about how every person should be a homeowner and Harris is blubbering about some similar nonsense now. As for your last comment, I'm not sure what's greater there, the hilarity or the hypocrisy; as if liberals give a flying crap about such things. Bill Clinton ring any bells? JFK? I hate to break it to you but lots of politicians and celebrities are not faithful to their wives.

You can change the topic all you like. You can whitewash Bush's record all you want. He's going down as a **** tier president. Just not quite as **** as Trump

I didn't change the topic. I addressed it directly. You make claims with no factual basis. I guess you think FDR was responsible for WWII since it happened "on his watch". Or maybe you blame Lincoln for the Civil War. It is juvenile thinking.
