Thats a very nice speech.
What criminal investigation? For there to be a criminal investigation there must be a proffered crime, what crime was it, specifically? Collusion which is not a statutory offense? Obstruction?
If obstruction, and if we are going to be so all upstanding, why hasnt Rosensteinks recused himself? He does have a conflict correct? He is a witness and participant by drafting the first letter to fire Comey. One cannot very well supervise the investigation of an alleged crime in which one may be called as a witness or may have some culpability as a participant...
Right?
Rod Rosenstein's letter recommending Comey be fired - BBC News
Letter from Deputy AG to the AG, Sessions.
This criminal investigation (from the order appointing Mueller as Special Prosecutor):
"c) If the Special Counsel believes it is necessary and appropriate, the Special Counsel is authorized to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation of these
matters."
Collusion may be a crime depending on the form it takes. If persons in Trump's campaign colluded with Russians to tamper in the election, those acts of collusion would violate federal campaign laws. If the collusion involved bribery, money laundering, the selling of favors, it likely again would rise to criminal activity.
I realize you children like to play with names but let's try to act grown up and refer to him as "Rosenstein". He would have recused himself if he had a conflict but he doesn't, not, obviously, on the basis of the letter firing Comey who was under his supervision and was fired for mishandling the Clinton email investigation.
