Trump didnt start anything. Iran killed an American they attacked our embassy then thought they could plan to kill more Americans. Spare us the leftard bs about Trump starting a war. Iran has been escalating for over a year and got put in the corner.
The person the Iranians killed was a “contractor”, which is usually a code word for mercenary. (Recall that Eric Prince, the mercenary king, bough his sister, Betsy DeVoss a Cabinet post).
In this case it was a traslator. I have no idea whether this person was an American. I doubt it.
Assasinating a man at the very top of Iranian leadership is not response in kind. It was a reckless, ill conceived, belligerent escalation.
Bullying nations to the brink of war isn’t smart. it doesn’t promote stability or peace, it scares our allies more than it scares our enemies.
And, at the end of the day (for now), it was the Iranians who had the final say.
The American positions was further weakened.
But Trump’s antics did insure that televisions in the US would be focused on Trump, while Putin plays to his domestic audience by taking a victory lap in Turkey and Syria, celebrating the Russian consolidation of their sphere of influence in the Middle East. This in the wake of Trump’s ignominious retreat, and the betrayal of our Kurdish allies.
Trump doesn’t have enough respect for our allies to put them on notice that something was going to happen. Then he has the gall to stand up and demand that they follow him.
What a fool.
Funny thing is that you’re not even putting up any real defense, beyond the usual slogans.
So try this.
Go into a bar and bully some guy until he takes a swing at you. Then stand there and yell while he swings back. Fortunately (for you) he pulls the punch.
Then you declare victory loudly, and demand that someone buy you a drink.
Now, you tell me what happens next.
