'White People Shouldn't Exist', Declares Texas State University Newspaper

A Texas college's student newspaper is apologizing after coming under fire for running an opinion column called "Your DNA is an abomination" that accuses white people of being oppressors who “shouldn’t exist.”

“Whiteness will be over because we want it to be,” the article reads, according to a photograph sent to Fox News by multiple viewers. “And when it dies, there will be millions of cultural zombies aimlessly wandering across a vastly changed landscape.”

In addition to stating “white death will mean liberation for all,” the columnist also says whiteness is “a construct used to perpetuate a system of racist power” and white people are “an aberration."

“Until then, remember this: I hate you because you shouldn’t exist,” the column adds. “You are both the dominant apparatus on the planet and the void in which all other cultures, upon meeting you, die.”

The column was written by Texas State University senior Rudy Martinez, a philosophy major who said in a past article he was one of the more than 200 people who was arrested on Jan. 20 protesting “the inauguration of proto-fascist Donald Trump.”

You're out of touch. Come to Texas or California, the idea that 'utopia will be reached when all white people die' is a very real sentiment here in the minority communities.

A. It's an opinion piece.
B. No one is being indoctrinated. If someone doesn't like it, they can either reject the premise or simply not read it.
C. The paper didn't endorse anything.
D. Pro-tip: words have meanings.

Someone show me a student Newspaper opinion article that says black genes are an abomination.... and that they need to be wiped out... I bet you wouldn't find one... you would have to look at racist KKk website forums to get even close to that.... or find a very dedicated youtube troll.

But it is a common story of black students refusing to live with white students on campus's, professors establishing this term "whiteness" as if it's something negative, that black people deserve to take money from white people for reparations of things some ancestors did hundreds of years ago.

It's important to point this out because it is important to call out rampant indisputable racism, no matter who's doing it. And it's frightening the massive difference in treatment racism against white people gets than the other way around.

I doubt you would have the same position if the article replaced white with black in the articles...but in the end, I agree with you, it is an opinion piece... I like it, it's edgy, and tells people how they really feel(which I am not at all surprised about)...and it shows how comfortable people are in our modern society to demonstrate racism against white people in public

Still doesn't take away from the fact at how horribly racist the opinion is... and I wonder if many would react the same if it were in the reverse.

I would suggest not engaging this as a legitimate argument because it's profoundly absurd.

It makes me wonder if people take this kind of crap just to see who they can get to respond to it.

This sort of thing should be met with mockery and derision. Taking it seriously suggest that it's the slightest bit credible.

Think of it like this if someone walked up to you and told you they had a 10-foot dragon does a pet that breathes fire and s*** out gold and they kept that pet in the trunk of their car and their car happened to be a 1995 Toyota Corolla you would simply laugh at them or pity them for their delusion. Or enjoy a pit of whimsical storytelling.

So just think it's a 10ft dragon that breathes fire and defecates gold in the person who owns it drives 1995 Toyota Corolla and keeps the dragon in the trunk.

It isn't a narrative it's a fairytale.

I'm in my senior year of college and have never heard that. Everybody vilifies higher education as some form of elitism, and everybody wants to say that the youth are indoctrinated by the evil college professors. While there may be some who do, it's not the norm. Not in the colleges that I have attended. We are there to learn, and don't have time to hear the professors scream about how whitey is bad. Besides, in the University of Georgia education system, the professors are not allowed to give any political opinions anyway.

This isn't a real newspaper. It's a college newspaper opinion piece. Clearly the administration didn't know about this or it wouldn't even be printed and distributed.

Well after witnessing some of the things that have occurred on college campuses over the past couple of months I don't doubt they were perfectly fine with this being published.

Further no newspaper is a real newspaper.
