White House: Removing Comey will help bring Russia investigation to end

OK, link the news articles that indicate the FBI's investigation has concluded and their findings delivered to a presumably series of grand juries.

CNN exclusive: Grand jury subpoenas issued in FBI's Russia investigation - CNNPolitics.com

The Grand Jury has been convened on the only person we know is under investigation. Do you have evidence of more investigations?

I'm not, that's the point. You yelling "SQUIRREL" doesn't work.

Hmmm... you are the one shouting "Squirrel". You seem confused along with being easily distracted.

CLINTON!!!

We are discussing Comey's performance as director of the FBI. Do you not think we shouldn't consider his performance with the Clinton investigation?

If you fire someone for investigating you, are you obstructing their investigation?

if you fire them for valid reasons, then its a stupid question

You're acting like a right wing hack, and should be embarrassed. From your link:

Washington (CNN)Federal prosecutors have issued grand jury subpoenas to associates of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn seeking business records, as part of the ongoing probe of Russian meddling in last year's election, according to people familiar with the matter. CNN learned of the subpoenas hours before President Donald Trump fired FBI director James Comey.

The subpoenas represent the first sign of a significant escalation of activity in the FBI's broader investigation begun last July into possible ties between Trump campaign associates and Russia.
...
The Flynn inquiry is one piece of the broader investigation, which FBI Director James Comey testified in a Senate hearing last week is led jointly by the Alexandria US Attorney's Office and the Justice Department's National Security Division.

Try again....

if you fire them for valid reasons, then its a stupid question

Since we now know it wasn't for valid reasons, then it isn't a stupid question, so the question stands.

Again, do you have evidence of any other investigation? Didn't think so. Do you not understand that the Grand Jury is not managed by the FBI?

If it was the actual reason Trump fired Comey, perhaps, even though what Comey did with regard to Clinton was known to Trump in July 2016, then October 2016, and he still retained him as FBI Director.

But we know it's not the reason for the firing, so, no, it's not relevant except as distraction.

The TURDS sufferers' claims it wasn't valid is a complete denial of all that is known and rational

I never claimed Comey's firing was intended to shut down the investigation. You claimed I claimed that. Again you're ascribing words and thoughts which don't exist, to me.

I was wrong earlier when I said you are a dishonest poster. You are a very dishonest poster.

I NEVER claimed that you claimed that Comey's firing was intended to shut down the investigation, you are sorely mistaken. Please read my previous post until you understand it, then your crying about dishonesty will look as silly to you as it does to me.

Your own link REPEATEDLY contradicts your baseless assertion, and your attempt to shift the burden of proof noted and rejected.

And, yes, I understand the basics of a Grand Jury, and I understand what the FBI 'manages' is the broad, nearly year long investigation, I understand that sending the results of part of its investigation to a grand jury doesn't even suggest the broader inquiry is over, and I understand there is no evidence anywhere that the FBI investigation has concluded, which I understand you also know given your failed attempt to prove your point was to cite an article that contradicts your point.

I'll dismiss your crassness in favor of the White House's own admission that trump fired Comey to stop the investigation.

Now if all you have to offer from here on out is rudeness and insults, I'll assume we're done here.

Did you actually read the letter to Congress? I guess not.

Spoiler Alert: The decision was in part due to Comey's performance during that investigation being outside of what is acceptable for an FBI director.

I can see why you didn't bother to quote those posts, they disprove your pathetically dishonest characterization.

I can also see that you neglected to heed my advice as you still don't seem to have a grasp of the conversation.

what white house admission?

"I think the bigger point on that is, my gosh, Tucker, when are they going to let that go? It's been going on for nearly a year," she said on Tucker Carlson's Fox News show. "Frankly, it's kind of getting absurd. There's nothing there. We’ve heard that time and time again. We’ve heard that in the testimonies earlier this week. We've heard it for the last 11 months. There is no ‘there’ there."

"It's time to move on, and, frankly, it's time to focus on the things the American people care about," she added

Recounting his decision to dismiss Comey, Trump told NBC News, “In fact, when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said, ‘You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up story, it’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won.’”

The White House said Thursday that removing FBI Director James Comey from his post may hasten the agency's investigation into Russian meddling.

"We want this to come to its conclusion, we want it to come to its conclusion with integrity," said deputy press secretary Sarah Sanders, referring to the FBI's probe into Moscow's interference in last year's election. "And we think that we've actually, by removing Director Comey, taken steps to make that happen."

That's proof in your mind?

What letter by whom to Congress? Are you talking about Rosenstein's memo addressed to the AG? Sessions' letter to Trump? Trump's "you're fired!" letter to Comey?

If you are, then you missed Trump telling the world that memo had nothing to do with the decision to fire Comey. Link here in case you missed it - Trump:

Lester Holt: Did you ask for recommendations [from Rosenstein or Sessions]
Trump: What I did was I was going to fire Comey...[then some gibberish]
Holt: You had made the decision before they came into the room?
Trump: I was going to fire Comey....I was going to fire regardless of recommendations

if you fire them for valid reasons, then its a stupid question
You know better than that. "Valid" reasons are only valid when used when they become valid. Any other time they are just excuses or deflections or God forbid, incompetence and gross negligence.

thats an interesting bit of twisted logic

I didn't bother because I figured you were a big boy and look em up. And no they don't disprove what I've said, you put words in posters mouths and use those words to bolster your argument.

And this ain't the first time.

thats an interesting bit of twisted logic
What is twisted? If Comey was bad why did he wait, why did he praise him why did he welcome his efforts? Do you honestly believe that anyone can or would ask to have dinner at the WH?

How do you KNOW Trump was being 'brutally honest'?

NOT why do you believe he was honest...how do you KNOW he was being 'brutally honest'?

So you're saying Trump didn't fire Comey to try and end the witch hunt? You never struck me as a Trump supporter.
