White House Manhunt Reportedly Underway For Trump Schedule Leaker

No. But I do have a problem with the press possessing and presenting classified or confidential government information to the public without authorization.

That should be against the law.

The fact that Trump has a light schedule is classified? This was hardly the Pentagon Papers or Deep Throat stuff. Seriously, I presume the leakers are motivated by concern about Trump's performance and try to affect it through leaks. Trump has dome a bit of the same himself with more serious revelations.

Trump is more lazy than a deadbeat dad in Chicago.

Now, let's all get mad at the person that confirmed it for us.

Up at 5:30 AM. Four hours sleep, Going all day.

Didn't read the ACTUAL SCHEDULE...did you? Just the FAKE NEWS/LYING LEFT "version" of it, right?

I said classified or confidential...and yes, the President's schedule is classified or confidential if he says it is. What you think doesn't mean a thing.

What a leaker's motivation might be is irrelevant. No motivation justifies breaking the law.

Are you done spouting useless, nonsensical excuses?

Up at 5:30 everyday. Four hours sleep.

Some "light schedule". Try actually reading it, in its UN-FAKE NEWS EDITED version, from last year (when it was originally released).

you voted for a corrupt lazy dude who can't get a loan from a US bank and cheats on his multiple baby mommas.

bravo.

The schedules revealed the president has spent more than half his work time in unstructured “executive time.”

The hunt is on for President Donald Trump’s schedule leaker, Politico reported Friday.

According to officials who spoke with the outlet, the administration has begun searching for the staffer who revealed that the president has spent more than half his work schedule in unstructured “executive time,” an ill-defined period filled with news consumption, phone calls and other work.
=====================================================
It is further reported that Acting Chief of Staff Mulvaney is 'irked' by the steady flow of leaks out of the WH. Someone must not like The Donald & the job he is [not] doing.

LOL, he's spending more than half is day sitting on his fat ass watching FOX and Friends, and stuffing his face with Big Macs and KFC.

On the plus side, every minute he's doing that, he's not screwing things up for the rest of us. :)

Good. I hope they find the leaker and figuratively hang them.

I just wish they could also hang the person who received the leak.

What I think is hilarious in a sad, pathetic way is that the "leak" of the Presidents SCHEDULE is a political problem justifying a White House man hunt.

And the reporter who received the leak did nothing but his/her job. That's just shooting the messenger. The problem is the message, which came from the White House about someone who has a suspiciously funny hued tan in the middle of winter....

What a dumbass comment. This has nothing to do with the 1A. It's called doing you job in keeping information secured. No one is forcing anyone to work there. If they can't see fit to maintain OPSEC then they should quit, instead of serving in disgrace.

Did you miss this part of the comment:"I just wish they could also hang the person who received the leak."

That would be a journalist, doing his or her job. It's protected by the 1A.

I stand corrected on that part. There's nothing that can legally be done against a journalist reporting on things unless it can be proven they were encouraging/enticing someone to commit the crime.

Confidential? LOL. If the press was legally prohibited from publishing "confidential" information, they'd be worthless and there would be no point to having a free press.

I agree somewhat about "classified" information, but that's context specific. Wikileaks' method of raw data dumps is highly unethical and destructive IMO, but like 'confidential' information cannot be made illegal to publish or the government could avoid scandal by simply declaring scandalous information "classified" and putting those who would publish it at fear of prison.

Of course their motivation is or could be relevant. Let's say a staffer had knowledge of Pres. AOC literally selling state secrets to China. If you were on a jury, you'd convict her for disclosing classified information by leaking that to Breitbart? If I was on the jury, I'd vote not guilty then try and get an autograph from the leaker!

Sounds like you favor a media that takes orders from the government.

As for all the leaks dripping steadily out of this White House, doesn't that tell you that even the people who choose to work for Trump (a rapidly dwindling number) are appalled by his behavior? Is that of no concern to you?

Fake News in 5...........4.................3...........

The schedule is not classified. No law was broken

Many retirees sleep for only a few hours a night, and they do not work at all.

Whether someone works hard or not is not determined by how many hours they are awake.

Not much a 1st Amendment supporter, are you?

Do you think the 1st Amendment should shield someone for putting our country's security at risk?

The press is already useless.

Congress has Constitutional oversight of everyone in the Executive Branch...including the President. We have whistleblower laws to enable Congress to be informed of possible crimes.

Your hypothetical staffer should inform Congress of Pres. AOC's actions and Congress should initiate proceedings provided for in the Constitution to deal with her actions.

Anyone leaking your hypothetical "state secrets" to the media should be prosecuted and, in my opinion, we should have laws to make it illegal for the media...in your hypothetical situation, that would be Breitbart...to receive and present those secrets to the world.

What can I say? You would applaud and glorify a person who breaks the law. I wouldn't.

I don't think I said anything that sounds like that.

Comment #5 sure sounds like you favor finding the reporter who published this leak and punishing him or her.

So what?

What does that have to do with the media taking orders from the government?

You know...spin can be a wonderful thing...unless your spin is just plain idiotic.

You're referring to Julian Assange, right?

I don't think Assange enjoys any 1st Amendment rights since he's not a US citizen.

But no. I'm referring to any US news agency that knowingly receives classified or confidential government information and who knowingly presents such information to the public.

If only someone would start investigating Mueller's crew. the FBI and the DOJ for leaks. What I find amusing is that people think they have some right to know how Trump spends each minute of each day in the WH. Did we make the same demands of Obama?

The 1st Amendment applies to everyone, regardless of citizenship

The press is already useless.

If you believe that, I feel sorry for you because you're embracing ignorance by ignoring what's reported by the press, about politics and 1,000s of other topics.
