White House dismisses 6 over failed background checks

Ok... it's all about me now is it?

Sorry I offended your delicate sensibilities there. Just turn off your computer and find your safe space there sport.

Having served 14 years in the Royal Navy my sensibililties are not particularly delicate. You make no attempt to answer my question, which was why do you strew posts with half disguised obscenities? Do you - wrongly - imagine it makes you look grown-up? In my opinion it implies a limited vocabulary and an inability to express yourself beyond a basic level.

I googled "RenoCon has never murdered a prostitute," and got zero pertinent results. Ergo, I must conclude that you, in fact, have murdered a prostitute.

Yes you have to maintain your credit not their database.

Your credit is a fiction borne out of the data in their database, which they expect you to maintain for them.

It wasn't half disguised by me. It's an auto filter in the forum that disguises it for you should you type it out. I said **** once and it wasn't even bashing you or even your political side. Had nothing to do with you yet you seem consumed by me and that one word. Is there a reason for your infatuation with me?

Specific to the White House? No clue. In terms of across the government? I wouldn't say it's common, but I don't believe it's rare either.

A lot of times, rather innocuous things can ultimately result in the check failing.

For example, a common one I was told by an old investigator friend of mine? A person smokes pot a bit at some point way in the past, but doesn't tell the investigator. Then through the other interviews, it's discovered. Had they just admitted the use at the start, nothing likely would happen. But because they lied, that becomes the problem.

Interesting how many people are willing to say it's no big deal or that it's happened before in other White Houses without any source, just making it up out of the blue.

I looked, can't find it happening in the Obama White House.

The Trump White House is a reckless pile of chaos and ineptitude and alternative facts. They have white supremacists, Russian lapdogs and corporate pigs running the show. It's a disgusting display of election failure.

But it isn't the kind of thing that would normally make it into the news. I spent 20 years as an intelligence officer and worked in numerous sensitive positions, including 8 embassies. I saw lots of denied security clearances in those years but you aren't going to find a mention of them anywhere in the media.

But the Trump Whitehouse is under much more intense media scrutiny at the moment so stuff is going to get reported on that would normally be ignored as insignificant.

No your credit isn't fiction it is a real thing. It shows how good you are at managing your finances and your life.
the only thing they get is reports from people you owe money to. they say if you paid or didn't pay.

Why is the "****ing" in this post? Does the writer think it makes him look grown-up? It baffles me that anyone thinks this may enhance his standing.

Try not to hit your head on the fainting couch.

It's a ****ed up system and it instills a notion to step down hard on someone trying to stand up.

Our company policy is to not hire anyone with a credit score of less than 720, unless there is good and verifiable reasons, such as a former spouse committing fraud. Not even low level clerical types.

The only place I'd see it as appropriate would be if you are handling large sums of money.

Several White House staffers were dismissed Thursday morning after failing FBI background checks, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Some of the aides were "walked out of the building by security" on Wednesday after not passing the SF86, a Questionnaire for National Security Positions for security clearance.

Donald Trump promised deportations. He delivered on that promise yesterday, as 6 people he hired were deported by security from the White House grounds, after failing their background screenings. LMAO!!

To be fair background checks bring up things that even closest friends don't even know. A very good friend of mine back in the 90s was denied a security clearance. I thought I knew him but I didn't. Is that my fault for not knowing?

It is if you are the president and have the power to vett him before hiring him.

Huh?

"Among those who won't be working at the White House was President Donald Trump’s director of scheduling, Caroline Wiles, the daughter of Susan Wiles, Trump’s Florida campaign director and former campaign manager for Governor Rick Scott. Wiles, who resigned Friday before the background check was completed, was appointed deputy assistant secretary before the inauguration in January. Two sources close to Wiles said she will get another job in Treasury."

So did trump fail or the vetting? I really don't know do you? By the way I despise Trump and if it really is his fault it only solidifies my views on him. I just want to make sure is all.

It's a result of paying back political favors by taking on friends of friends.

Do you think he hired them personally?

It's also not like people failing background checks is necessarily an uncommon occurence.

I assume he did, because they were all relatives of friends of his.

If you accept the job you are presuming you can pass the national security vetting, and depending how high the clearance, the more rigorous the vetting.

Everyone thinks their skeletons are safely buried. If the FBI can find them so can offshore enemies.

You're lying.

ONE of them was a "relative of a friend" according to your source, and even she was hardly unqualified. She was an employee of Trump's campaign last year, and used to work for Governor Rick Scott before that.

It happened yesterday. You have to work on your attention span.

Well it is certainly insignificant enough that we don't need 2 threads. Pretty much everyone on both sides agreed that background checks can be failed easily and for dumb reasons.

I didn't see the other thread, and I'm sure there were others who missed it as well.
