People will always congregate to where they have the most in common, regardless of skin color, and there doesn't necessarily have to be any prejudiced or racial aspect to it.

So why would a white person prefer to live in a predominantly white neighbourhood if not because of prejudice against a different skin colour? I can't think of a good reason.

I want a brown America.

But not just population. After brown people are a population majority in America, it will take generations for brown people to become the majority power. See, wealth and power don't just transfer with population. We don't redistribute such things each generation. So long after white people are a minority population, they will remain the majority power.

When the majority power, globally, is brown then racism will not be what it is today.

I think most of the "we love ethnicity" sentiment is merely for show, as most whites choose to self-segregate. It's just popular to say.

Most racial discussions are about 'color': as if whites self-segregate simply because they find black skin unappealing and non-esthetic. All blacks could turn blue tomorrow and the racial dynamic would be the same.

Once we start discussing why that would be, then we'd make some progress in the racial divide.

It could be partially a matter of psychology as the psychologist I heard stated - you've offered no evidence to disprove his theory.

I do agree it's also a social thing, but I don't agree that minorities do so for protection while majorities do so out of bigotry and oppression. I think all people think and react along the same lines - one group is not inherently evil while another is inherently good. Assigning intent to entire groups isn't logical.
