You 'realize' precisely dick. You fabricated some childish notion that 1-people being given back their tax dollars is a government 'handout' and 2-that every conservative must be as fiscally corrupt as you are. I responded directly to your comment the first time...but obviously you werent capable of undertsanding direct words. Now I'll offer pretty much EVERYTHING I have posted on this topic since they began talking about a stimulus package.
What happened to the teabaggers?
In Congress, there were a handful of true conservative republicans that opposed the spending in 2009. Of those still in congress, they again voted against THIS spending bill.
I am not opposed to legislation supporting individuals that are going to get hammered by this Wuhan Flu economic struggle. But I completely disagree with the legislation being submitted and the pending spending proposals. The relief should be targeted to those that actually NEED the money, not to every adult and child in America. There should be cooperative initiatives with banks to suspend payment for small businesses that are being hammered. There should be an agreement with banks to allow people to file for mortgage holds without penalty. There should be money set aside to allow those in need to apply for rent and utilities assistance as well as food assistance. But we dont need to be sending checks to everyone. Its a bad idea. Its a bad idea when a democrat suggests it. Its a bad idea when a republican suggests it. Its a bad idea...period.
McConnells plan a family of 4 would get 3k dollars.
1-not every republican and certainly not every conservative agrees with these plans.
2-DO you realize how stupid you sound calling this measure 'socialism'? I mean...its possible you dont...but I wonder so I HAVE to ask. I mean...its like you and others seize on every stupid issue and think you can shoehorn it into your ridiculous ideological arguments and it DOESNT make you look stupid. But it does...so...I was just wondering....

I absolutely agree. The short term and medium term will be painful. I think the rush to provide payments is short sighted...it may be OK for a first installment, but there should be better emergency action plans that direct more resources to those truly in need. I think with the government bailouts of the banking industry, it would be appropriate for the government to call in a marker and negotiate with them to suspend housing payments and small business loan payments for 3-5 months. Not forgive them...just suspend them. Other actions...all with the same goal.
And of course there was my direct response to you earlier.
Maybe you ARE smart enough to understand things...maybe not. But the one thing that is GLARINGLY obvious is that you and far too many people like you are so mindlessly partisan that you continue to offer stupid mindless gotcha arguments that end up kicking yourself in the face.
