Simple question, what kind of sounds the nicest for a man to have.
Upper class British?
I should have been more specific. American accents only.
LOLZ! Not having a go at you, or anyone else, Enigma, but your poll question is typical of American attitudes. This is an international forum, but the assumption is that any and every subject logically only concerns itself with Americans.
Or any number of other irritating words used.As long as they can enunciate and not sound like they have a mouthful of marbles.. I'm good with that. I AM partial to foreign accents, British and Russian specifically.
And as long as they don't say, "D00d!" every other word....
I've lived in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Texas.
The accents in Wisconsin seemed the nicest of all the ones I've seen. They were rude as hell to me, but they SOUNDED nice.
I see your poll now.
Midwestern is supposed to be the most pure and what you usually hear as announcers, anchors, radio people.
That would be lower Midwest, specifically Kansas City which has the closest to no accent that you can get. The upper Midwest is really not a very nice sounding accent at all.
You can't be serious. Wisconsin is probably the worst sounding accent in America. Your telling me that you prefer a nasal "Fargo Talk" to a Texas Accent?
Thank you! I say this because I don't know how many times people see the "Kansas City" (or general METRO area) and have said, "I'll bet you have a Southern drawl"............. uh, no.

Actually it kind of makes sense, because the OP is American, this site is U.S. based.
If the site was more England centric or China centric or what have you, I'm sure he would have worded it differently.

Yeah, but you British murder the English language.:2razz:

No actually, it doesn't. If the OP was from Ireland, and did not qualify the question with the term 'Irish', would you naturally assume he was referring to subtle county accents? An international site is an international site, irrespective of where the server is based.
