I have no doubt of that. He is extremely lucky to have been born into a loving middle class white family in America. And from your op it sounds like he's lucky to have been born heterosexual and cisgender as well.

He is a very accomplished 23 year old man.

It seems like only yesterday that I was at the hospital of his birth holding him in my arms as a newborn.

It had to trigger you since we seldom disagree. I do not deny it caught me by surprise for my grandson to make that claim. But when he did say it, i did not go off on him over it.

He added no more news today on facebook so perhaps no others gave him guff I got from Democrats today here.

2.)Why would it catch you by surprise that your grandson admitting to be CISgender to to making a simple attempt to understand others?

1) I tried to be generous to you but made one hell of a mistake.
2) i checked back to see if he explained it today. He has left it stand.
3. Now his rational statement meets your approval yet when I said he said it, you were triggered at me, not him.

1. Victimhood of being picked on on the forum.
2. What do i know a lot about you do not know a lot about?

Well, for one thing, RE law. Taxation issues. Machine shop operation. Heavy construction methods and practices. In general law. Real Estate operations. Appraisal issues and how to do them and practices. Mortgage loan operations by companies and agents.

Various historical figures and what they did and when and to whom it was done.

I'm sure he is. But I think you missed my larger point. He is lucky to have been born into a loving white middle class family. He is lucky to have been born hetero and cis. I am commenting on his privilege. I don't do this out of judgment, as I have been blessed with these same privileges. If we are lucky, what does that make people who weren't born into said situation?

Perhaps your grandson is recognizing this privilege and is expressing his sadness that others who were not born into these arbitrary categories that America has placed on a pedestal above them have to deal with additional problems that he can't relate to? Perhaps he wants to do his part to reduce the inequality that makes him luckier than people from a different background, orientation, or ethnicity?
