As the Democrats now engage in picking between candidates who promise the most free stuff - meaning forcing other people work for them - what do you claim a person can demand other people buy for them?

MULTIPLE CHOICE POLL - check everything that you claim other people can demand you buy for them.

Your “Low Attention” warning lamp has been on for a few days.........good hunting!

Actually the Democratic Party is far worse than the most radical classic socialists. Socialists required everyone equally work - and then equally share in the benefits regardless of the person's status or rank. Thus a manager makes the same as someone on the assembly line.

The Democratic Party, instead, promises everything for free, no one required to work, and then will pay for it all by borrowing endlessly more money from other countries figuring they can do that and pay the compounding interest on the money forever.

The Democratic Party believes the rest of the world will fully finance Americans sitting on their ass furiously demanding still more for free - because they believe they as Americans were born entitled to everything and to make everyone else their slaves.

Still furious over taking away their slaves, the Democratic Party has it's new way to make everyone working person their slave. The Democratic Party will never, ever abandon slavery.

Add gold, guns, and all of the above..

Air.

Air should be free.

And water too. (If you want to run down to the creek and fetch it yourself.)

Why don't you just head out for Putin's Russia? Nothing is free and bribery is an inseparable facet of the milieu.

Seems to me you would be much happier there.

check everything that you claim other people can demand you buy for them.

Anything they would be forced to steal for their own survival if they couldn't obtain it via legitimate means and any basic investment that they would need to make them more productive in the long run.

The saying goes that it takes money to make money. If you are living in abject poverty then you lack the capital necessary to invest in yourself and make yourself more productive. Even if your situation is somewhat the result of your own choices, there is no benefit to society in leaving anyone in desperation. Desperate people resort to desperate measures.

I suggest you educate yourself on the concept of a Nash Equilibrium. It is a fundamental concept in economics. It's sort of like an economic version of a Catch-22, and often times once people find themselves stuck in a bad equilibrium it can be ridiculously difficult to get out now matter how good of choices you make. It is in the best interest of any society to keep people from falling into them and to help those that have get out.

But, of course we all know that you have no interest whatsoever in the free education we're offering you here today. Even though it would be in the best interest of society as a whole to learn something new we all know you'd much rather remain ignorant and hateful so instead I'll ask you this...

I notice that you left Security off the list. Why? Why can I be forced to pay for someone else's security? I would love to see fewer police on the streets and a much smaller military yet I have to watch my hard earned money taken out of my paycheck every week so that rich assholes never have to worry about coming home to a group of homeless people taking over their home by force.

Ummm...I believe it was the right who freaked out when AOC promised a job for everyone even if they didn't want one.

Also, could you tell me why we should make a single mother of two work 8 hours a day running a cash register for $7/hour when it costs her $10/hr to send her two kids to day care? If a day care can charge $10/hour to watch your kids for you and that's considered legitimate work then why don't you consider a single mother watching her own children 24 hours a day to be "working?"

What a bunch of drivel. Police protect my family and I. Being forced to pay for your dinner doesn't.

Contributing your fair share to help the homeless and downtrodden become productive members of society does protect you and your family. Especially if, god forbid, you ever find yourself homeless and downtrodden.

None of the above.

Nothing I posted indicates me requiring her to do anything.

Tell me why I should have to work and the money goes to her children rather than my own?

She made herself a single mother, not I. It was her decision to have children. Her life and her children are her problem. My children and my life are my problem.

Ummm...I believe it was the right who freaked out when AOC promised a job for everyone even if they didn't want one.

And just what enables her to make such a 'promise?' Was she planning on putting millions of people to work and paying them herself? No, I dont think so. So what sort of 'work' does she have in mind and from where does she expect to get the money to pay people to do, well, something?

A long time ago I was homeless and "downtrodden." No one bailed me out.

It is a LIE to call it a "contribution" when it is forcibly taken from you. That is the Democratic Party's defense to robbery.

Liberal fascist socialist logic: "I didn't rob that old woman with a knife, I just forcibly collected her contribution to me because I needed the contents of her purse and she refused to contribute. It was for her own good too. Otherwise I would have become so desperate I'd have killed her if she hadn't given me the purse. So REALLY forcing her to contribute to me was a GOOD thing because it saved her from being murdered by me.
Besides, some day you might need money too so you should protect yourself having the right to force others to contribute to you."

That is a question to be determined by the larger society. There is no correct answer.

I’m not sure how I should answer. I believe we SHOULD ensure that everyone has all those things, taxpayer funded if need be, but not because I think they are “entitled”. My reasons are purely selfish. I just think this would be a more enjoyable place to live when I know all those strangers I come in contact with every day are having their basic needs met. Less crime. Better public health conditions. Fewer desperate people ready to snap at any moment.

We live in a society of interdependent human beings. The problems faced by the least of us are all of our problems. If you want to live in our society, you have to contribute your fair share like the rest of us.

It is a tax. Societies can't function without taxes.

Any chance for options for us Tapatalk people?

It's not robbery. You don't have to live here. No one is stopping you from taking your wealth and your family and going where you can live the life of a heartless, selfish miser away from everyone else. What you want is to benefit from the advantages of living in a society while doing nothing to contribute to its health and growth. You would be the entitled thief in this scenario.
