Speaking only for myself, I always thought the term was cute because it reminds me of the Munchkins from WIZARD OF OZ. Those cute little diminutive colorful folk who are so trusting and so childlike and so naive that they basically worship this floating goddess from the skies and bow in reverence at the mere mention of the deity that is the Wizard of Oz himself. Its just a perfect description of the voters who swallowed Trumps shuck and jive routine... a self proclaimed billionaire.... " a man of wealth and taste" to quote the song he uses at his rallies .... a man who pretends to speak for the little guy and the folks George Wallace used to pander to. A con man who knows that he could kill somebody in broad daylight and the rubes would still believe in his innocence and tells them to their face how stupidly trusting they are. Its funny in a weird ironic sort of twisted way.

So you take the name of TRUMP and combine it with the Munchkins and you get perfection in Trumpkins.

I'm not sure what you thought you were posting there, but I do know that Kevin Hassett is a REPUBLICAN party activist and a POLITICAL appointee of the Trump administration to the Council of Economic Advisers.....so unless he OPINIONS are being expressed in conjunction with some peer-reviewed economic studies (and they are NOT), then they are just that, i.e. OPINIONS.

What we KNOW is that almost every leading economist who has publicly discussed the subject, agrees that the economy under Trump has simply maintain the same basic upward trajectory that he inherited from Obama.
