What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

I have no clue other than that I looked up what onion chicken crunch is just before I quoted you and @Callen.
My apologies.
No need to apologize at all. 🩵 I just wondered, Helix explained it can accidently happen to any of us and why it likely happened.

How do they compare in terms of taste? I'm reluctant to order some.

It's more about texture and shape...that's much like "caviar." To me, since you chew them less, they had less flavor than green, red, or brown lentils.

They're also very expensive, for lentils, and I had a hard time finding them. The recommended substitute is French green lentils du puy (no idea how to spell) and they seem like they'd have the same shape and texture as the black. But they're also $$$.

If I make that recipe again, I'm using red or brown lentils...to me the black werent worth the $. I think they do hold up better under extended cooking and wouldnt turn mushy. So if your recipe calls for a long cooking time, they may be the way to go.

Thank, that saves me the trouble

I had braised yellow Fish and other dishes that revolved around the table. (image 2)

What was in it? Could you describe the taste?
@Lovebug ... do not know what it was. A soup? I remember it was sweet and cold. The menu is below. Maybe you can pick it out. (Image 1)

Have a great day everyone.

Looks like we're not doing anything formal for dinner, so I cooked up a couple fish filets for a sandwich. Dessert was animal crackers.
Do you bite the head off first? I used to love them.

I’ve been working the ticket booth at the county fair all week. Today was my last day so I ordered a medium pizza, half pepperoni, half onion to celebrate.
Did they let you in for free? County fairs are so much fun. Can't believe it's that time of year already.

I had a MOW special: Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, peas. I supplied applesauce and then had a Clif bar for dessert. Protein bars are really too filling for dessert, but it's the closest I can come to a decent cookie. I'm going to try saving half next time.

My brother-in-law brought us fresh caught flounder that he cleaned, filleted, deboned and cooked. I fixed up some crispy fried baby reds and a tomato-onion salad. Cantaloup, honey dew and strawberries.

Outstanding!
