The Smithereens - Blood & Roses

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of their widely celebrated album ‘Agents of Fortune’, Blue Öyster Cult performed the seminal album in its glorious entirety at an exclusive concert for the Audience Music Network on Monday April 18, 2016 at Red Studios in Hollywood, CA in front of an intimate audience of invited guests. The performance was recorded by an army of cameramen for a DirectTV special, that is now being released on CD/DVD, Blu-Ray, and Vinyl via Frontiers Music Srl.

One for Gina. I couldn't find the live one with Willie which is my favorite version. You know which one. ;)

Oh yes I do, Risky! Now I'll have to go listen to it! And probably more. ;)

Many thanks! :)

Deep Blue Something - Breakfast At Tiffany's

Useless information: I once gave Keith Richards my autograph.

You only think that is Andy Jackson on the twenty dollar bill. It is really Keith Richards before the transfusions.

Gil Evans was born in 1912, first gaining popularity in the public ear as a child prodigy on the piano. Over the decades his orchestration influence effected cool jazz and modern jazz, effecting not just jazz but country, R&B, R&R, Fusion, and artists as diverse as Myles and Paul Simon, the latter who said "Without listening to Gil Evan, I could never have made Graceland." From his vast oeuvre, arbitrarily starting with Miles on Flugelhorn:

BTW, Gil, like Paul Shaffer, the musical director of Letterman's NBC late night show, is also Canadian. On numerous occasions Paul celebrated the influences Gil had on his own musical sense and sensibility.

Years ago I was sitting at a table in Heathrow, London. There were no seats available and Richards sat at my table. What the hell do you say/do in that situation? I wrote my autograph on a napkin and handed to Richards and I said, “Lets just get this out of the way so I can eat in piece.”

He looked at it, laughed and put it in the pocket of his jacket. Probably blew his nose on it during the flight to where ever he was going.

I have no doubt Kieth still has your autographed napkin, and treasures it. I also have no doubt that not only does he not remember you, but also has no idea why he has saved that autographed napkin all these years, or any remembrance of the airport or not being seated on that particular flight. Don't let that bother you. We have all reached an age when remembering breakfast is a chore. There is a reason why Gene Simmons of Kiss has eaten the same crappy breakfast everyday for more than 40 years, much to the disgust of his family. Cap'n Crunch with a bag of M&M's in a bowl with apple juice.

He broke our hearts, he soothed our hearts, again and again...

The Funk Brothers - What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted (Live) · featuring Joan Osborne

I Like It Like That

The song was inspired by a love story that originated in 7th-century Arabia and later formed the basis of The Story of Layla and Majnun.
Clapton wrote this song with George Harrison's wife Pattie Boyd in mind, the woman he quite openly loved. They would later marry.
