Western Self Loathing

The "don't give a **** vitality" you speak of is pure laziness. It's complete antithesis to 'making your own bed' and 'holding your head up high'. We are harsh on ourselves because we know we can do better. We can achieve prosperity without ****ting on the people below us. We can be a world leader without causing strife in other countries. without causing irreparable damage to the environment.

I am sorry that you think so little of America that you don't believe that we can be number 1 without giving a **** about others, without holding others down and desperately trying to 'beat' them. What we liberals are actually doing that you are refusing to, is taking responsibility for our place in the world, something that conservatives have always championed, but this current administration (and current brand of right politics) has no interest in.

For 99% of the world, Marxism is indeed dead. We actually won the cold war more in a sociological sense than even the economic sense. Russians and the Chinese embraced everything about western culture. Where does my self assurance come from?
Comes from being chosen,promptly putting in my resignation,which was not accepted.
The genius of picking a person for a mission,who wants nothing to do with a mission from YHWH.
Is they know it wasn't their idea!That YHWH chose you and you can't get out of it.
It gives you "assurance" ,and Faith.

No one saying that. If you are worried about increased diversity in this country though, there is typically a little racism / bigotry in there.

Yep, but if you define diversity only in terms of physical traits, and ignore diversity of opinion, that too can be seen as bigoted/racist.

There is no "American culture". Our culture is extremely varied depending on whether you are in an urban area or rural area, what part of the country you are in and so on. We are an immigrant country and thus don't have a real culture like a nation like France or China would have. We are all over the place in terms of culture.

This is 100% driven by the ideological left. You must apologize if you are white, male, Christian or successful. They then expand that to the national level and ask America, whose success was fashioned largely by white male Christians (or deists) to also apologize and pay penance to all those countries less successful and, most especially, less white. That we have been lavish with aid, charity, etc. matters not.

We just believe we're good enough to do it in an ethical and respectful way, which can also benefit other countries instead of simply trampling them. You don't seem to think we're capable of that. That's ok, you're welcome to think that, that's what makes this country great. Any self loathing the West has is a result of Leftist influence. You cant totally take over and change a society if the people are proud of who and what they are.

The fact is every good thing that the human race ever produced originated in the west.

The idea that slavery is a moral wrong is 100% from the West.

Places like the Middle East, Asia and American Indians had no concept of this. It took military force from Great Britain, France and the post Civil War USA to end slavery in Asia the Middle East and Latin America.

Even though slavery still exsists in the Middle East and Asia according to Leftist, Western culture is the cause of all the world's problems.

I hate to tell you but the state cannot reach perfection nor can man. When the state is your god instead of God being your god, you will never be satisfied. That's the left's problem.

Sorry, but I prefer to take responsibility for the life I'm living now. Perfection doesn't exist, it never has nor ever will be the goal, but that doesn't mean we can't better ourselves as individuals and as a collective every day.
