Re: Nba 2018-19

Reading the latest over the Tye Lue issue in LA, I have to wonder if it's even possible for a team like that to be any more mismanaged.

You have maybe two good years of LeBron left, and you deny him his choice for coach because of a money issue? Really? How ****ing stupid is that?

LeBron is about to quit on the Lakers. And, that is far better than anything I could have ever predicted last year.

Love the Frank Vogel hiring. Pacer fans will tell you he is a really good and respected coach. They also bring in Jason Kidd as an assistant to develop Lonzo Ball.

Question. If Lue is such a good coach, why is he still unemployed?

Vogel is indeed a fine coach, but he's old school and no-nonsense. Not sure how LeBron will respond.

Re: Nba 2018-19

The GM of the Pelicans used to be the GM of the Cavs. He will want to help LeBron and trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for the entire roster minus LeBron. The Celtics package is no longer as appealing.

You bring in AD and sign Kyrie, and LeBron will be very happy.

How about those Warriors? Even without KD, they are still the team to beat, if they keep Curry, Dray and Klay.

Plus, if KD walks, that frees up a lot of cap space. They will have first choice on whoever is out there.

Even if KD and Kawhi sign with the Clippers?

The Portland Trailblazers showed a lot of heart but reality will soon sink in.

This team will be lucky to win a game against Golden State.

KD is out through 5 games. So, the TB might win a pair in Portland.

Whose guarding Stephen Curry? His little brother Seth Curry?

It must be tough when you know your parents love your more successful son more.

It's probably because of the daughter. G-Parents always like the sibling with the cute kids better.

I like the bucks roster diversity over the raptors 1 man show.

Re: Nba 2018-19

What a shot by kawhi! He will look great in the city of angels

Re: Nba 2018-19

Bucks should win. But, I expect a good series. Sixers almost beat the Raptors. Celtics never even sniffed the Buck's jock.

Re: Nba 2018-19

LeBron is a very unselfish player. He wants to be more of a facilitator on offense and hand the scoring duties towards another player.

He essentially wants to be like Dwayne Wade and allow a successor to his throne to take over.

LeBron isn't a control freak or alpha male like Kobe Bryant.

LeBron is a cancer on the game and a net negative for the NBA - the sooner he retires, the better for all concerned. This year's playoffs have been terrific with the unselfish (uproarious laughter) James nowhere to be found but still trying to grab headlines as he destroys a once great franchise. No self-respecting star player in the NBA will follow his train wreck to LA.

LeBron isn't a team player, at all - he's a selfish POS - and he's a quitter. If he doesn't get his way or isn't going to win, he packs it in and abandons his teammates as he did in Cleveland several times. The league has made LeBron what he is by coddling him and calling a totally different game for him than it calls for those who play against him. There are a dozen or more better players in the league at this point and he's about the only player who doesn't know it.

Bucks should win. But, I expect a good series. Sixers almost beat the Raptors. Celtics never even sniffed the Buck's jock.

Season series was 3-1 Bucks with each team winning on the other team's home court and none of the games were blowouts or uncompetitive. In addition, the Raptors with Gasol are a different team than when those 4 regular season games were played and Leonard is, by far, the MVP of the playoffs so far, dominating both offensively and defensively in almost every game he's played.

Size-wise, the Raptors match up better against the Bucks than they did against the 76ers and that will help some of their fringe and bench players. And many Raptors have been stone cold shooting lately and that won't last forever - still winning, even with important players not contributing fully.

Bucks should be favoured, I agree, simply because they have home court advantage in a long series. But you'd be foolish to bet against Leonard being the best player in this series as he has been in the last two. Man is on a mission and there isn't anything in his game or his demeanor that suggests he's not happy to be playing for the Raptors and going all out to get another title.

My assessment is that Giannis and Leonard cancel each other out. Both are unbelievable.

Lowry is the wildcard, IMO. If he doesn't show up, Raps are in trouble. If he does, then the Bucks are.

How Kyle Lowry stood tall against a giant, did all the little things and put the Raptors in position to win Game 7

I wouldn't say Leonard is by far the MVP of the playoffs. Giannis has done basically what Leonard's done. Leonard's scoring 4 more points a game, but Giannis leads by a bit in every other category. Both shooting the same percentage. And to my eye, Giannis has been every bit the monster defensively that Leonard has.

FYI I am not agreeing or disagreeing with you about LeBron however remember Kawhi Leonard quit on the Spurs. He had a thigh bruise and sat out the season. LeBron would never do such a thing.

You are right. Another reason is the Raptors literally have zero players outside of Leonard that will step up and take big shots. I think they are scared.

It reminds me of the Lakers teams surrounded by Kobe Bryant or LeBron teams in Cleveland.

Bull****.

Leonard, Marc and Lowry have higher ratings than Giannis, Middleton and Bledsoe.

2019 Toronto Raptors Starting Lineup Today

But, I still like the Bucks in 6. They destroyed the Celts. Raps barely beat Philly.

I don't know what goes into that rating system, but just looking through a few rosters, it doesn't look how I view the NBA at all.

Ray Felton > John Collins
Josh Jackson = Domantas Sabonis
Dennis Schroeder as the 14th best PG in the league

Re: Nba 2018-19

Kyle Lowry is a known choker. Look at the Raptors history the past few years.

Marc Gasol? Seriously?

LeBron isn't in the way this year. And, I don't see the Bucks shutting him down like James does.

Still take Milwaukee in six tho. Giannis is younger and stronger than Kawhi.

Re: Nba 2018-19

If Atlanta wins the draft lottery tonight, (10%), I wonder if that would make them at all a player for some of these free agents. Chance to play with Trae Young, John Collins, and Zion. Lots of cap space.
