[W:711] 2/3rds of Americans want an assault weapons ban

How exactly is Congress going to enforce their mandatory background checks when they can't require the States or local governments to comply with their stupid law?

The same way they enforce it today.. if you conduct a private sale and don’t do a background check then you are risking being charged.

They don't enforce it, because they can't. Every firearm I own or have ever purchased never included a background check, and none ever will.

I prefer that you use a spear or at the most, a bow and arrow old-school style... that way the prey has a chance.

I used to hunt with a bow. Took me so long to recover from a rotator cuff injury I just let it fall by the wayside and gave the bow to my son. He's probably going to inherit my rifle pretty soon, too. I only got out once last season- just didn't seem interested enough anymore to make time for it.
But giving the prey a chance isn't in the equation. Hunting isn't a contest. Hell, I don't even call it a sport. It's just something you want to do or you don't.

If a mandatory background check law is passed, and any weapon you sell is used in a crime, then you will vulnerable to prosecution.

It is only called a "brace" by those who are being deliberately dishonest, trying to pretend that it isn't a rifle when in reality it is.
Its manufactured as a brace. It functions as a brace. It is sold as a brace. It literally IS a brace. I dont know why you insist on clinging to foolishness. It IS a brace.

The feds won't touch you either. Wyoming's law goes so far as to threaten to arrest any federal agent attempting to impose federal firearm regulations on any firearm or firearm accessory manufactured in Wyoming. Federal firearm laws only extend as far as the Commerce Clause allows. In order words, if it crosses State or international borders then Congress may regulate it, but if it doesn't then Congress has no say. All intrastate commerce is off limits to Congress, including firearms manufactured, possessed, and used wholly within a given State.
Id recommend people seek actual legal counsel before resting on that opinion.

Leaning up against a wall or a tree is brace. When you place it into your shoulder it is a stock. Why you continue to spew lies defies reason.

That is honest... I like that. Nothing wrong with hunting deer or some other game. Not enough natural predators any more.

The amount of ignorance of the law astounds me sometimes..

That is only because you discount humans as predators, and you really shouldn't.

If you kept my comment in the context that it was intended... then humans do not count.

Shane Cox and Jeremy Kettler bought that same line and now both are felons prohibited from owning any firearms.

I believe that guns in the hands of madmen is a bad thing... so that means that guns are a bad thing... because if madmen could not get guns, then they could not use guns to kill innocent people.

that's really weak bait material. Guns in the hands of good people are a good thing. Stupid laws are far more likely to prevent good people from having guns than bad people. No law will stop bad people from having guns. You know that but some people who don't might believe this swill

Please clarify:
No law will stop all bad people from having guns, or no law will stop any bad people from having guns.

Who is more likely to be disarmed by a gun ban

those who follow the laws or those who have already engaged in criminal behavior?

So "assault weapons" are one single type of weapon now?

Per the ATF yes an assault rifle is a specific weapon.
in order for a weapon to be an assault rifle it must have a selector
switch.

The selector switch allows for multiple mode fire that can include
single shot, bust or full auto.

That would be nice if ATF was able to legislate, however, they don't get to write laws...

the ATF sets the definition of what is and what isn't an assault rifle.
calling something an assault that isn't an assault rifle is called dishonest.

LOL... The set the definition based on the statute... They have no authority otherwise...

There is no statute that defines an "assault rifle".

thank for admitting they have the authority as the ATF is the department that regulates weapon classifications.
the ATF has a definition of an assault rifle. an AR15 does not meet that definition.

these are called facts. we know leftist don't like facts.

Currently, there is not a FEDERAL statute that defines an assault rifle, there are seven states with statutes that do define an assault rifle...

When the federal assault weapons ban was passed in 1994 it defined what was banned... Semantics won't keep you from prison..
