Kinda made people think twice about gun registration, and conjectures arose about how burglars would better plan which houses to invade.

This is another tactic of moral panic. "Outing" (Doxing) people and making them targets does little to win friends and influence people.

Hmm... somehow I doubt that was the stated reason for enacting the law making this information be publicly available. Yet now that we know it was then, perhaps, that law should be changed (or simply repealed).
 
I hope someone repays the favor by releasing the same info and him and his brother, then watch them whine about it being unfair.
 
Seeing as how the looneys are shooting up everyone in these recent days, I wouldn't be surprised if his ultimate wish is that a few of them get shot.
