[W:161]Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

I can't believe that counsel is bringing up Lev and Igor....

Makes you wonder if they’re not committing suicide!

After all, Nunes made a point of reading the phone call summary that Trump wanted out there into the record, which prompted Schiff to publicly thank the President for releasing it and publicly suggest that he release all the other material he is sitting on.

Not exactly the talking point the GOP wanted out there!

Yeah we are dealing with a modernized version of the Apple Dumpling Gang.

Yeah we are dealing with a modernized version of the Apple Dumpling Gang.

Igor and Lev sort of remind me of Robert Morley and Peter Lorre in Beat the Devil!

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

The public that have two brain cells to rub together know that he is not being impeached for firing an ambassador, the Dems are laying a foundation of the breadth of the corruption in the Trump Admin.

So he's being impeached for exercising the breadth of his power to fire an ambassador. I see.

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

Nunes was in form. Whining, lying, whatabout-ing.

The entire republicant defense:

"Yes, it's BAD TO QUESTION TRUMP - SAY IT!"

Who the **** cares? NONE OF THIS IS EVEN RELEVANT.

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

No. He is being impeached for ordering a previous soviet bloc state to investigate private american citizens.

That's horrific.

Horrific.

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

So a fair process, is one in which Adam Schiff refuses to recognize an elected congresswoman and member of the committee to ask questions? We know all we need to know about the fair, thoughtful process being played out by the democrats.

Looks like you took a big bite on that act. There are established rules in place and should be followed. What they were doing was trying to make their own rule and then started crying when they were told no.

Yeah, no you don't see.
Its a shame too.

When you say investigating private American citizens I assume you mean the Bidens. There is no more corrupt political family I can name than the filthy rich Bidens of the state of Delaware.

Irrelevant. What can be done to the Bidens can be done to you or I - LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE.

I normally don't respond to someone who proudly associates himself as a rat living in someone's digestive tract, however I have to point out not only do you have your head up someone's ass ( presumably trumps) but you have your head up your own ass at the same time...

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

The Republican snark factor is not helping their case.
But carry on guys/gals.

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

Ah, she's so fun when she is shouting and throwing bombs.

No one cares.

Obama isn't president.

Problem being, of course, that it's one thing to bray about that and quite another thing to substantiate it.

Which, of course, you can't. And won't.

And which is utterly irrelvant to the criminal acts twump has literally confessed to.

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

So Elise got all up in arms about Obama's admin being concerned about the appearance of conflict with Hunter.

All they have is LOOK SQUIRREL!

Appeals to hypocrisy are NOT arguments - Republicans - I REPEAT.

Appeals to Hypocrisy are NOT ARGUMENTS.

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

He's being impeached for using his office for political gain - already realized by the ads his campaign is running.

Moreover, anyone who DOESN'T listen to fox, who ISN'T brainwashed by the republican idiocy, is interested in this historic incident and the MAJORITY see what he did as wrong.

All politicians even Pelosi and Schumer and Schiff use their offices for political gain. Why do you think they're millionaires and you're not? Leave Trump alone he's doing a great job.

Sorry, my last day on here for a few weeks so I am being a little more truthful than normal.

My apologies...

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

One of the articles of impeachment will be abuse of power, which is exactly what he did. He delayed military defense money to a country under siege for a period of 50 days. In those days, 13 Ukrainians were killed by Russians. Donald Trump was not concerned that his delay would come at the cost of human life. Donald Trump was only concerned with absolving Russia of blame for the hacking of the election in 2016. Donald Trump was only concerned that Zelensky should make a public statement of opening up an investigation into Joe Biden. That would serve him well in the 2020 election if he could smear Joe Biden who was leading in the democratic polls at that point in time. Even if there was no 'there-there', the public would hear that "Joe Biden under investigation!!" And everyone's hair would catch fire and they wouldn't vote for Joe Biden.

No, he isn't doing a "great job." He is inflaming, and insulting, millions of people daily.

I don't GAF who does it - anyone who does it should be OUSTED.

That's the difference between you and I. You think it's alright for Trump to do it.

No. It's not right. It's -wrong-.

But thank you - You FINALLY admitted Trump is using the office for personal gain.

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

Rep Sewell is hitting some good points.
He could have just removed her, why the smear campaign on top of it.
Exactly.

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

It is unbelievable. During live testimony Trump commits witness intimidation, one more impeachable offense in the books. Is there no one who can protect this guy from himself?

I have to question how a witness could possibly intimidated when she doesn't even know that someone is tweeting about her or her testimony. Perhaps Schiff brought up the tweet to elicit an emotional response from her which, of course, would make for great theater.

I have watch through the first break and this is the third witness that appears to believe that their foreign policy ideas are more important han those of the administration they serve. Taylor is the only one, so far, that threatened to resign due to his disagreement with administration policy.

Re: Marie Yovanovitch testimony -- comments

I have not heard anything coming from the Republican side that in anyway mitigates the damage that was inflicted on this administration, in the morning session.

Perhaps that will come later.
