[W:108]Which Trump do you agree with

Re: Which Trump do you agree with

Link to Trump being pro life back in '99????

Candidate Trump would share anyone's beliefs if he thought it would help get him elected.

If evangelicals actually think Trump shares their beliefs, they've totally been conned.

Good point on enjoying the limelight. Probably all of the presidents have liked that.

Trump seems to be pretty consistent in what he espouses. The link to the video showing that Trump hated abortion in 1999 is one example.

It's possible that Trump is reviled by other politicians because he holds consistent beliefs. Others change their position to catch the direction of whatever political wind is blowing.

Trump seems to have run on more jobs, higher wages for all, lower taxes for all, less regulation, address border security and increased manufacturing in a drive to reinvigorate GDP growth and increase domestic manufacturing.

Obama said with perfect clarity that this was impossible and that Trump was lying.

Turns out Obama was lying and Trump is doing it.

Re: Which Trump do you agree with

Mueller's probe into Russia / Trump campaign indicted three Russian companies and 34 people, including eight Americans affiliated with the Trump campaign or administration.

There were more than 101 points of contact between the Russian government and the Trump campaign.

16 Trump campaign officials had direct contact with a Russian government official or a Russian operative, and an additional nine campaign officials were aware of these contacts.

The Trump campaign gave campaign information (see Manafort) to the Russians.

Don Jr. met with the Russians in Trump tower expecting to receive "dirt" on HRC.

Trump continually lied about his active business involvement with "Russia".

The Trump campaign actively worked with the Russians and expected help from the Russian state.

Bottom line : Putin accepted information from the Trump campaign, but Mueller was never able to establish that Putin did anything specific directly in return. Putin's active work to get Trump elected could not be directly tied to the the Trump campaign. IOW, Putin isn't stupid, Trump and his minions are.

You feel vindicated? I don't think you went beyond Barr's memo and Fox agitprop.

Are you also going to imply that Trump assisted Russia with the invasion of Afghanistan or Ukraine?

If "Russia" does anything, that act or effort in no way implies that Trump aided that act or effort. C'mon, man!

You listed a bunch of nothing that means nothing.

Can you link to the source showing that "eight Americans affiliated with the Trump campaign or administration" were indicted due to something connected with Russian collusion?

It amazes me that people believe that "the Russians" would need to have polling information from Manafort. Don't they own a computer with internet access?

The same people who gleefully accept that "the Russians" could not read the polling info available on the internet forcing them to get it from Manafort had the computer savvy to bend the wills of the American voting public using Facebook.

How completely gullible does a person need to be to accept the propaganda dribble from the Democrats on this load of crap?

Whatever you want to believe is fine with me.
Apparently not, since you can’t keep yourself from completely misrepresenting my comments.

If that is what you are moved to believe, that is fine with me.

He went from a pro choice Democrat to a pro life Republican. That's consistency, Trump style.

The issue is not "hating abortion," but supporting individual choice over government regulation.

Re: Which Trump do you agree with

Is allegiance to an obsolete position even when new information is brought to light preferred over adapting based on better, more current information or abilities?

Condemning a person for adaptability seems like an odd reason to condemn.

Do you own a cell phone or are you sticking with the old, tried and true Harvest Gold Wall Mount?

1.Political positions are not obsolete technology.

2. Its easier to believe a person's change in their positions is genuine when they don't miraculously change as the person decided to run for higher office. This is why Trump's change in positions is highly suspect.Especially when he is changing they every so often.

Re: Which Trump do you agree with

What does that have to do with Trump being for partial birth abortion in 1999 and then lying about being pro-life today?

Everything you post seems lead you back to your hatred of Trump. It's an interesting if flawed thought process.

I did not post about Trump in my reply to the post in which you did not post about Trump. How did your train of thought make this stop?

Yeah right. Trump is only consistent in his ability to change his position.

Let's see:

The wall is now a fence.

"Lock her up" became "You know I only did this to win the election, right?"

"Fake news is bad" to "here's some fake news"

From saying the US was nearly at war with North Korea over missile launches to Kim's great after missile launches

From saying the US was nearly at war with Iran to... well hasn't happened yet, but you can bet there's no war.

From saying he didn't want war to threatening war

From saying the US needed strict gun control to saying the US didn't need any gun control after talking to the NRA

From insulting everyone who opposes him to saying US politics is bad because of all the insults

Should I go on?

Abortion is a pretty complex issue.

The way I look at it, it involves everything from science to morality to equal rights to the definition of life to religion to legality to Federalism to Constitutionality and every stop every train of thought can make in between.

Your oversimplification is a bit TOO simple to encompass what is being discussed.

As I posted previously, Trump hates abortion now and he hated it then. Changing a policy stance on this issue is closer to a 2 degree change than a 180 degree change.

I suspect that most people hate abortion as a stand alone concept absent any other consideration.

Do you?

Re: Which Trump do you agree with

I find it interesting that this guy who is not even accepting a salary to do this job is incessantly accused of only considering his own financial advantage.

What has he done to provide a foundation on which you have built your fantasy?

By the end of his eighth year, this will add up to a little more than 3 million he's turned away. I don't recall another President since JFK refusing his salary. I kind of wish he'd send it my way. ;)

It was only in the mid 90's that the courts upheld the use of DNA evidence to conclusively identify not only that a second person was present at a murder but who that specific person was.

Today, DNA evidence and information is used in Archeology, Anthropology, Criminology, Genetics and on and on and on and on.

About the only area of study from which it is rejected is in the discussion on individual rights as it relates to abortion. Even in this discussion, only ONE SIDE of the debate rejects science to maintain their position.

As you observe, a political position is not an obsolete technology. However, when CURRENT technology shows the absolute stupidity of a political position, some will adapt to the more sensible position.

With the now 30 year old acceptance of DNA and its obvious implications on the individuality of the unborn human in the womb, it is impossible to accept that this is a discussion only regarding the body of the woman.

Using reality as revealed to us by science has served us pretty well in this society. Science reveals that there are two unique lives involved directly and physically in any pregnancy.

We are now only trying to define or un-define the humanity of one of those lives. It is THIS question that Trump addressed and that YOU avoid.

Interestingly, this is exactly the same debate waged on slavery. Is a slave human? If yes, how human? If even partially human, how big a fraction of a real human is the slave? Does that fraction deserve rights reserved to actual humans?

It could be that, as a thinking human being with a moral compass, Trump adjusted his policy position based on the new understandings revealed by science. Not that bad a reason to adjust.

Do you know how to link to anything that supports your ranting?

Another post entirely devoid of any tether to reality.

You reveal astonishing creativity and consistency.

Most of this I thought was common knowledge. But go ahead, which ones would do you need links to?

Yes, I hate abortion as well. I applaud any move that reduces the incidence of it, which at this point includes real sex education and easy access to birth control. Nothing else has proven effective.

The issue is outlawing abortion. Trump was against outlawing abortion (pro choice) and now is in favor of outlawing abortion (pro life). Whether he understands that outlawing abortion isn't going to end the practice or not, I'm not sure. I don't think he really cares, though, as long as being for outlawing it garners him votes.

Irrelevant nonsense to the fact Trump's positions miraculously changed the second he wanted to run for higher office. Anyone with a brain knows Trump changed his positions because he wanted to run for higher office. This wasn't he got some new information or a new perspective.

So, I guess you just want to play games them. I used quotation marks, not because I'm directly quoting Trump, but because I'm parodying Trump. And you know this, and yet you have to go out of your way to play games.

But hey, let's give it a try and see whether you can be sensible

Trump attacking "fake news"

Donald Trump ATTACKS CNN as 'fake news' and declares hope for NEW TV STATION on Twitter | World | News | Express.co.uk

"Donald Trump announces hope for OWN TV STATION to combat 'unfair and false' CNN reports"

"Trump's attacks on 'fake news' are increasingly global"

Trump attacks Mueller and slams 'fake news' in morning Twitter tirade | Daily Mail Online

"President quoted conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi Thursday night before lashing out at 'fake news media'"

These all suggest Trump is saying "fake news is bad", wouldn't you agree?

'Sweden, who would believe this?': Trump cites non-existent terror attack | US news | The Guardian

"'Sweden, who would believe this?': Trump cites non-existent terror attack"

Here's Trump making stuff up about Sweden. An attack that simply did not happen.

Here's a load more. Not hard to find things Trump made up.

Take your pick.
