Well I was hoping you'd try to provide one shred of evidence for any point you've made here but I guess that wont happen. Toodles!
Since the Stars and Stripes flew over the slaves well before their was a Confederacy we should probably remove that one too, eh?
I pointed you in the direction. If you're too lazy to check it out yourself, that's not my problem. I have no interest in feeding you every piece of information you deem necessary to make a post valid in your mind.
Was the US founded specifically in response to an attempt by Britain to abolish slavery?
Was it the Stars and Stripes that was flying on top during the Jim Crow era?
I'll take that as a no.
There's the difference. If it's not good enough for you... well, that's your deal.
Except when it comes to asset forfeiture. :2razz:
I'll take that as a yes.
This country was founded with slavery in existence. If you don't wish to accept that, well, that's your deal.
This is a good idea but I fear if the confederate flag gets hard to acquire then those people will have to reset to flying swastikas instead.
Customized license plates of any kind seem like a huge waste of money for the government to be spending time on.
We should ban pants since Hitler wore pants.
Our country is so mother ****ing retarded. Banning the Confederate flag because some dip**** psychopath owned a few of them? What in the actual ****? Talk about using a tragedy for personal gain....
Wait a minute. Someone told you this talk was about banning the confederate flag?
And you believed them?
Awwwwwww, Iz devastated that uz don't love me. How will I go on.
What is it about then?
We should ban pants since Hitler wore pants.

Virginia will phase out vehicle license plates featuring the Confederate battle flag, the state's governor said on Tuesday, following the fatal shooting of nine black worshipers at a historic South Carolina church, allegedly by a white gunman.

I predict that the same thing will happen in other states in the near future and that all states will stop mandating display of the Confederate flag.
No one is going to stop anyone from personally displaying it, but the states will stop doing it.
Wait and see.
why do lefties keep telling this lie?... do you think everybody else is stupid?
I've been hoping for years that the NAACP would adopt that flag as their own and when anyone questioned it they could say.... "clearly it's about heritage and it is more deeply rooted in our heritage than with anyone else."
I wouldn't balk at the notion.... that's better than making it disappear altogether like so many idiots want.
it's a cool flag.. a cool symbol....
no need for it to disappear...well, except to calm the hypersensitive PC sissies who can't stop crying about it.
It's someone's free speech to fly it. And its someone's free speech to say they don't like it.
the chilling effect... it's all the rage among lefties who know that can't directly attack other peoples rights.
don't try to sell me that the hand-wringing sissies are just going to let other people do what they want...I wasn't born yesterday.
It would be my advise for a person to mind their own ****ing business... but that's not going to happen anytime soon.
but whatever.. you're so close to ending racism... just a few more confederate flags stand in the way ,my friend... good luck to ya!
Thing is about that flag is that it's history is just bull****. It's not nor has it ever been the confederate flag. The original confederate flag was red white and blue with fewer stripes but in the fog of war... in battle it was easily confused by both sides if it was a union or confederate flag so the south then changed it. And it still never was the stars and bars. The closest replica of it was a white flag with the stars and bars small and in the corner like the blue part of the American flag is now. And THAT was rebuked when it was thought it could be perceived as a surrender flag in battle.
The confederate flag changed all the time and it was never that stars and bars outright. So the "heritage" part of that flag is just utter crap full of lies and as cool as it looks, it was adopted by the real ****nuts of our society which killed what's left of it's relevance. So flying this flag whose only heritage is being adopted by Klan members and such on government property... it's gotta go from there IMO.
