US employers add 313,000 jobs

Why do you think I believed that race had something to do with this discussion? Someone replied to me with something I had no reason to consider on my own, all I did was say that.

I didn't say you did. I just quoted your comment about race in this discussion.

Yes, he sure does which is why Employment after the Obama stimulus signed in February 2009 went from 142 million down to 139 million two years later. When the stimulus failed what did Obama do? Promoted ACA and not economic growth and activity with a willing Congress promoting social programs and spending. GDP growth for 2009 was still negative and not one year of the Obama term was 3%. That is a disaster

So Obama gets credit for his leadership during a dark economic time. That's what I said earlier.

I never said anything about punishing anyone for success. No clue where you came up with that.

I did run a business. Right now I run a $12 million division of a multinational company. Yes, I do know a thing or two about business.

What do you think Democratic economic policy is all about, equal outcome not just equal opportunity. Been paying attention to the class warfare rhetoric

According to my link from the BLS, it was the largest monthly job growth since October 2015. Is your point that point in time was during the Obama administration? Ok, can't argue that point.

The article title says from July 2016 that is my point

Yep, which is why he retained the House on 2010-2012 and the Congress in 2014-2016

This thread wasn't about elections, I didn't think. It was about leadership and the impact it has on the economy. Did I misunderstand your OP, which I thought was about the economy?

This is good news. Hopefully the tariffs / idiotic protectionism won't screw this up.

It is about the results of leadership which you brought up and those results were reflected in the Congressional elections and even in the 2012 Presidential election he got 4 million fewer votes. It is all about leadership and although Congress controls the purse strings and legislation the President sets the tone which is what Trump did with his EO's. The results speak for themselves. So you agree that President Obama was a good leader when the economy went from bleeding many thousands of jobs per month to gaining many thousands of jobs per month.

Please get someone to help you read the employment numbers I just posted because you couldn't be more wrong. Bush was blamed for hundreds of thousands of jobs lost where as Obama lost millions even with his stimulus. stunning

C'mon. You didn't get the memo?
Anything good that happens to the economy, under Trump, is credited to Obama.
Anything bad that happened to the economy, under Obama, is credited to Bush.

Get with the program;)

My sincere apology as I didn't get the memo. There are over 4 million more Americans working today than in February 2016 and 1.7 million more than in February 2017, that is what should be celebrated

Trump. Winning!

May 2010, January 2012 and October 2015 were the only months during Obama administration with monthly job growth over 330k. Why bring up Obama?

Because the alt right pro Trump crowd are spreading lies like "best jobs since 1983" and such things.. So it is important to bring up the facts no? 330k is good, but it is the best the orange chimp has done so far, and only after what under Obama was considered by the orange chimp and his minions as "anemic".

"alt-right" and the pro-Trump crowd are not synonymous.
You seem to like facts, so there's one for ya.

So you're just being partisan and not giving Obama any credit. Okay, fair enough. I'm not partisan enough to play that way. I prefer to be honest and fair.

Interesting so celebrating the 4 million more employed this February than 2016 and 1.7 million more than in February 2017 shouldn't be celebrated because it is compared to JULY?? Stunning how the left loves to try and defend the indefensible. What is it about liberalism that is so filled with hatred they cannot celebrate success?

I give Obama credit every day for giving us Trump!! results in context matter except to far too man mostly Obama supporters

And how many of Obama's 8 years did you blame Bush for the economy?

The recession which really started in 2006 was caused by the housing bubble bursting, not tax cuts.

Wrong. The housing bubble was caused by tax cuts. That's what happens when you give millionaires and billionaires who already have way more money than they know what to do with a whole bunch more. They start making more and more reckless investments because they don't care. It's like a person going to a casino with only $100 to lose. They initially start safe by playing nickel slots and $5 blackjack tables, but then they hit a jackpot early so now they're playing with house money. All of a sudden their bets get bigger and more reckless. They start trying out new games that they've never played before like craps or roulette. Before you know it, poof, their money is all gone.

When the wealthy get too wealthy and overconfident their tendency is to get fast and loose with the extra cash. We saw it during the .com bubble as well. Venture capitalists were just throwing money at anybody with a Computer Science degree. During the housing bubble, people were borrowing enormous money fast and loose to anybody that asked for it at extraordinary interest rates. They didn't care if one or two people couldn't pay because they were making so much on the interest they figured they were covered.

Our economy is already humming along just fine. Steady growth is the goal, not a radical unrealistic expansion that cannot be sustained. We should be paying down our debts from the last economic downturn so we're financially stable for the next one, and make sure we're not leaving our children in massive debt.

I hadn't seen anything like that, could you point me to an article that says that? Googling your quote didn't come up with anything.

And how many of Obama's 8 years did you blame Bush for the economy?

None. I voted for W Bush twice and didn't vote for Obama either time. Why do you ask? You could simply search my posts on here and get the answer.

No thanks. I'd rather ask directly.
Thanks for answering.

And how is tax cuts responsible for the greed of the banks?
