Updating 2020 Presidential Delegate Tracker

Learned something new.

Republicans have set the rules so that if you win the majority in a state, you win all that state's delegates.

Democrats do it differently. If you win 50% of the vote in a state, you win 50% of that states delegates.

Weird things happen like imagine a candidate who does really well in California and wins 70 delegates. Then he loses badly and quits. Those 70 delegates he won disappear.

What Happens to Delegates After a Candidate Drops Out? | Heavy.com

In most states, when a candidate drops out, his or her delegates go to the national convention uncommitted to any candidate (that’s why it means they’re “pledged” after a caucus; they haven’t actually voted, and will only officially vote at the Democratic National Convention). From there, they can technically vote for anyone they choose, like a superdelegate.

On the other hand, some states like Virginia and Nevada require that delegates vote for their pledged candidate in the first round of the convention no matter what, The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

However, if a candidate drops out of the race and then goes on to endorse another active presidential candidate, then those delegates are expected to vote for the candidate the person has endorsed. Again, they’re not required to vote for anyone. For example, if Buttigieg and Klobuchar both endorsed Joe Biden after they dropped out, their delegates might vote for Biden at the convention, assuming Biden was still in the race by then. It doesn’t guarantee anything, but it increases the likelihood that a candidate’s delegates will go in a specific direction.

Historically, the democrats have been pretty good at making people disappear. 70 delegates ain't nothin. Run 'em through a chpper in a remote national forest, and the bears'll clean up the DNA.

So here we have humbolt accusing Democrats of making people disappear! Which living persons might you be referring to?

That’s a clear lie which you can’t back up. Your gop is the plurality party, the one that gives 100% of its delegates to a candidate that gets 30% of the popular vote. That’s why you support the electoral college.

An attempt to justify cult violence.

You still don’t have it correctly. The current gop rules are not the same in all of their 56 contests, and date back to at least 2016. In 2020, more and more gop contests are being cancelled.

As for Democrats, you’d do well to study the calculations previously provided to you so you know what you’re talking about.

I was kidding. I don't care who the democrats nominate.

Damn straight. Cult meeting tonight, if you're interested. It's just me and the dogs here, plotting. You'll need to do a comb over or the dogs may not accept you.

Plugs? That's Biden. Possum donor, I believe. Probably some kind of posdum cult donating hair plugs to democrats.

Trump has clown hair, a clown tie, he's orange and he's obese. He's big shoes and a nose away from literally being a clown.

Yeah? Well, Biden thinks it's super Thursday, so take that.

When it comes to being an idiot, Biden is Trump lite. Both are creeps.

This season the dimocrats are basically choosing their candidate by circular firing squad.

Biden is a huge creep. Maybe the biggest creep.

Seriously, Trump is a given. The circular firing squad the democrats have engineered is interesting to watch, at least. Looks like a brokered convention, and I've thought it would come to that for a while now. Today's results may clear things up a little, but I doubt it.

Seriously, Trump is an incompetent, corrupt joke and only the cult is voting for him.

Biden has terminal dimentia and is only looking forward to pudding on Tuesdays. With Super Thursday coming up, he reflects on his leg hairs and another ride in that thingy. Yeah, air plane, and without the other thingies. Yeah propellers.

There are people living under bridges more qualified than Joe.

If those people under the bridge ate Biden and took a dump, that dump would be smarter than Trump.

Biden eats dog turds and thinks they're Baby Ruths. Bernie eats dog turds knowingly, and thinks they're great.

Biden is diarrhea. The democrats confused runs with running.

Trump is an obese, long-tied, fake clown hair, orange skinned, mentally disabled moron.

Trump's performing a surgical procedure right now to save a corona virus victim Joe Biden. Before entering the surgical suite, Trump said, "I can save Joe's lungs, but nobody can save his brain. It looks like mashed potatoes."
