Stupid people are going to begin dying in huge numbers as recalcitrant red states continue to flout basic safety precautions, but they will blame Obama, at least at the outset.
Once a million or so die, that excuse will stop.

This can't be so true any longer. Trump is clearly finally allowing health officials to matter and he isn't the complacent douche that he was. He's even made his idiot son-in-law look the fool for continuing that former failed policy:

Donald Trump has warned Americans that the toll from coronavirus in the US will be 'the toughest' during the next two weeks, saying there will be "a lot of death." I mean, the guy has come a long way in a short period of time. In the meantime, his son-in-law keeps playing the failed game, because.like Trump's constituents, he doesn't know what to think from Trump moment to Trump moment.

Granted, Trump is still a douche...

On social distancing:

And his excuse for his routine flippity-floppity dip****tery? -----> "I'm not about bad news. I want to give people hope." Oh! That explains the history of bankruptcies, the habitual lying about even the mundane of issues, and the routine idiocy on just about every single topic. If crap's hitting the fan, simply tell people that it isn't and pretend that they aren't about to get shrapnel. No wonder conservatives are so up their asses anymore. This is the guy they choose to properly represent them? Hey, even his son-in-law gets left out on a limb. Pathetic.

So what if Trump sees more hope than others? I like the fact he offers hope. It will not matter whether he has a rosy outlook or a gloomy outlook, the virus will still claim its victims and there is little humans can do to stop that.

Hope is not going to keep people alive, action is. Trump has done nothing to help His BS and inaction just caused more death. If that is democrat mantra, then I am glad I am on the side of sanity and common sense

Too many Americans think their lives depend on their government leaders doing things for them that not even God can do, if God even existed. That is not just blind faith in a man but also extremely stupid. Trump does not control what all other government officials are doing to control the virus. They are doing what they are doing with or without Trump's help or blessing and even then they can only do the best they can. They cannot perform miracles.
