I am not necessarily disputing this point, because I frankly don't care about the legality of the recording. And as far as I know, Boykins hasn't even been charged. The investigators told him to hang onto the recordings for their investigation.

I'm more interested in the content of the recordings and what they say about the racism of the police officers and the cartoonish malleability of Buttigieg by his donors. That your only takeaway is the potential legality of the recording, and not the underlying content, is very, very bizarre.

Perhaps because people have been drawn in by his seductive obscurantism combined with his even-keeled approach over the tub-thumpers like Beto O'Rourke or Bernie Sanders. By all accounts, the man's political positions appear to be solidly left.

I really do not see why. By all accounts, the man appears to be solidly on the Left when his actual political positions are examined. Perhaps it is because he prefers to maintain the affect of moderation versus the substance?
