Trump's Twitter meltdown - DO SOMETHING - HELP!!!

Trump is unraveling and he needs the support of his fools. He capitalizes everything he really, really needs to happen to bail him out.

Democratic "GUILT", please, please focus on Hillary and lock her up! (not me, plz)

"DO SOMETHING", help! help! I NEED HELP! LOL

ObamaCare? I thought he said he had gotten rid of ObamaCare? Is this man retarded?

ObamaCare? I thought he said he had gotten rid of ObamaCare? Is this man retarded?

No he is not "retarded" he is someone who is intelligent about business but a complete failure as a politician.

Agree to disagree. I don't think an intelligent business person opens up Trump university or Trump Steaks. He's a marketer. He's the white male version of Kim Kardashian. Great at making noise and getting views. Great at leasing their name out to others who know business.

Haha yeah. "Obamacare is dead". "I'm still fighting Obamacare". Uhhhh, okay Donald.

That is just not true. You tried to use the entire US population instead of those who cast votes to demonize Trump voters.

False, i was just explaining how small a segment it took to seal our fate.

It was just partisan bull****.

Well answer this than. Would you have said the same thing had Hillary won? She had about the same percentage.

You completely misunderstand the point. This has nothing to do with Hillary.

#1 We are not a Democracy. We are are a Representative Republic.

A republic is a representative democracy.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with my statement or your accusation. You said...

So tell us another one.

Okay so he got the votes of 26% of Americans who were eligible to vote. Do you like that number better?

Or so you need to hear the biggest number, 46% of Americans who bothered to vote?

You don't even seem to understand what my point was. My point was that it took only 19% of our population casting their votes to give a candidate a win. That's an attack on the EC, voter disenfranchisement, and voter apathy.

I don't know enough about the corporate world at that level to say one way or the other. There could have been a number of reason the Trump empire did what it did.

You don't seem to understand our electoral process it isn't the number of total votes nation wide that counts it is the total electoral votes from each state that goes to a candidate based on the total number of votes won in each state that determines the winner. If we went by total votes nation wide a few of the large population states would dictate to the rest of the states who the president would be. Many don't like it but the founding fathers were very smart to set it up the way they did.

I understand it just fine. It's just a vulnerability, so if you're good with being vulnerable to big data based manipulation, if you're fine having your elections hijacked, then sure, you can be happy with this system.

Tell me oh wise one just how are our elections "hijacked"? There isn't a national nor state network so they can't hack them. Then the hijackers would have to have people in every precinct in every state to make a difference and that would involve thousands if not tens of thousands. No I think I am seeing liberal paranoia rear it's ugly head again.

If you want paranoia, you should listen to some right winger rant about voter fraud.

Here, i'm just explaining how our EC system combined with the two-party system allows candidates to sway the election by using big data to microtarget a small number of vulnerable voters in swing states with specially tailored propaganda and disinformation.

If we gave every American citizen an equal vote for the office of the president, we wouldn't be vulnerable in this way.

Shocking then will be this article from today's Chicago Trib talking about the scream-fests planned in nine American cities:

Scream at the sky. Then what? - Chicago Tribune

If I find shocking is that people expect this to turn out any differently than the joke facebook drive for Floridians to shoot at the approaching hurricane to try to divert it. Nobody who actually signed up on the facebook page or voiced support was being serious and nothing did end up happening. The police did issue a warning to not do this, but then, they have to worry about there being just one nut who might take it seriously......

Anyway, your article asserts :"it’s anticipated that thousands of Americans in at least nine cities will take to the streets to iscream helplessly at the sky'", but doesn't provide any citation. It then only seems to talk about NYC, saying "Nearly 2,300 people have already signed up to scream helplessly at the sky in New York City, and 15,000 more have expressed interest." Unlike the article at the start of the thread you previously started, they don't deign to cite to a Facebook page. At least I know that with the other one, it was canceled within three hours. Sadly, that didn't stop people from acting like it was a real thing that reflects poorly on liberals generally.

So instead of running around trying to rib everyone identified as being "on the left" with this, I'd suggest waiting to see whether any of this actually ends up happening and how many people actually show up. And then, I'd suggest making an honest decision about whether you will hold yourself responsible for everything done by similar-sized groups of people on the right (or, to be most fair, to hold yourself responsible for everything done by similar-sized groups of people of whatever political persuasion someone feels like identifying you with).

How about that? Seems a lot more fair to me than constantly throwing what is still quite likely a big joke in the faces of various people on DP who haven't expressed any interest in attending....

Test question.

What does all this whining about Trump accomplish?

Answer= Not one damn thing?

Instead of whining do something. Contact your congressman and let them know how you feel on certain subjects.

ADDED: It's better than sitting on your butt whining how bad things are with this president on an internet forum.

Yeah, the President Of The United States is NOT WHINING ON TWITTER IN FRONT OF THE WORLD.

Nah, the OP was whining. Made my day, you and DJT did.:lamo

Yep I was right left wing paranoia. You guys seemed to love the "system" when you were in power. Now that you are out of power you say the system is broken. LOL!

I'm not trying to rib everyone on the left and, in fact, have said that I think that sane people on all sides of the aisle are shaking their heads.

I'm not sure why you're taking what the Chicago Trib has said today about scream events being planned in at least 9 cities as a joke, but you should probably take this up with the paper.

Well voter disenfranchisement, and voter apathy affect both sides of the political aisle. I disagree that the IC is a problem at all.

All things considered I think you are indeed telling the truth. I apologise for my misunderstanding your point.

Thanks BD, i appreciate that.

Only in your fantasy world would that be considered a concession.

Tell us another one.

Your denial is noted and summarily dismissed.

The second half of that is not a particularly honest response. Particularly dishonest post, I'd say.

As you well know, you previously started a thread about the supposed "scream" event that was supposed to have occurred in Boston.

https://www.debatepolitics.com/brea...elplessly-sky-anniversary-trump-election.html

When you did so, you most definitely ribbed the left:

This takes "sore losers" to another level.

From PJ Media:

Progressives have taken their Trump derangement syndrome to a whole new level...

Thousands of anguished libs in Boston and Philadelphia will be taking part in scream fests on Nov. 8 to commemorate the anniversary of Donald Trump's election. Liberals in other cities around the country are likely to step up to the crazy plate as well as the big day draws near.

Over 4,000 Facebook users in the Boston area have RSVP'd to attend the event they're calling "Scream helplessly at the sky on the anniversary of the election." Another 33,000 have expressed interest in attending the event at the 383-year-old Boston Common. https://pjmedia.com/trending/anguis...am-helplessly-sky-anniversary-trump-election/

Thousands of Americans Will Scream Helplessly at the Sky on Trump's Election Anniversary

As I noted in post #51 of that thread and in other posts there, (a) you and others kept going on about it even though that Facebook page already said it was canceled since nobody had actually bothered to check up on the article's claims, choosing instead to believe it so they could attack the left, (b) the people going on about it would never accept ridicule of everyone on "their side" based on the actions of a few, and (c) it sounded just like the time a few weeks ago when some guy started a Facebook page urging people in FL to shoot guns at a hurricane to divert it and there too thousands of people ALSO said they were going to participate, but nobody did....

....because it was a joke.

It's also strange that you say you're "not sure" why I suggest that people probably aren't taking this as anything but a joke.

I quite literally explained all of this already in the post you quoted in full, which can be seen if anyone cares to hit the ">>" button. I explained it back in that thread. And now I'm having to say it all again.

As I also said (this is becoming a bit of a refrain), perhaps you should simply wait to see how many people actually show up to do this and then mock those people?

Enough with dishonesty/hypocritical posts attacking the left. You'd never accept criticism of everyone in your ideological ballpark over something that hasn't yet happened and is likely to just be a joke.

You can dismiss it all you like. It does not change the unadulterated fact, your previous post was a lie.

If you cannot dispute my post and instead hand wave it away, you are conceding. If you cannot admit concession, you are in denial. If you insist on calling me a liar, you are dishonest.

Stop whining. It's unbecoming.

You saying it was somehow a concession is a lie, period. I mean if you want to deny it go right ahead.

For the record this entire rant had almost nothing at all to do with anything I said...

Gerrymandering does wonders. The fact that a large number of people actually voted Trump into office is NOT something I would be proud of, lol. As we've learned the presidential election as well as possibly the supreme court nomination may well be invalid. Hillary won the popular vote.

Facts shred your entire narrative and 2018 will likely be a bloodbath for Republicans. If gerrymandering is dealt with it will be the kiss of death for right wing tyranny, never again will this happen.

Absentglare's partisanship in demonizing voters? Wth are you talking about?

Nothing to respond too. Which is not unusual for your posts.

The part highlighted is the only one that has anything remotely to do with my statement. It was what I was actually talking about. I have already said I was wrong about that. If you had bothered to read the last part of the thread you would know this.

Variations of "you're wrong" 3 times and a hand wave, meaningless. Does not address the argument in any way.

You made an argument, I responded. Now you're backtracking and saying it had nothing at all do with what you said, which is blatantly false. This is the exchange that you claim has nothing to do with what you said. Notice how in this post as well you're complaining about "this has nothing to do with my statement". There is something wrong with you.

Republicans own the congress, senate, presidency and the supreme court, so come again? So who does not have a mandate?

Anyway that has nothing to do with my statement or you and Absentglares obvious partisanship in trying to demonize voters.

My post perfectly addresses yours 1:1. If what you said is not what you meant that is your communication failure, not mine.
