Re: Trump's "sh**hole" comment it offensive because...

:doh
Someone needs to retake US History 101.
I'm not offended when some European or Canadian here on DP is ignorantly insulting of the United States, its government, its President, or its people, although I'm capable of finding the comments made offensive. There is a difference between being offended, personally, and finding a matter/comment to be offensive, if not to me personally.
As for your attempt to imply that I'm insensitive to any verbal attack on any individual person and would not consider such comments offensive, I find your attempt at insulting me to be highly offensive.
Ah, so those words “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore,” were just scratched into the Statue of Liberty by some Antifa punk? Gotcha.
You liberals do that all the time. Trump wants immigrants who will benefit America not refugees from every ****hole on the planet. You may disagree, but that is what he is saying.
This has nothing to do with race or the perceived inhuman treatment of others.
We as a country have a right to let in those that we feel best to benefit us all as a whole.
Besides, mass immigration is in no way a possible fix for their problems, or ours for that matter.
These people who believe that the best way to increase their quality of life and the quality of America, is by doing this year round. Are fooling themselves to the most severe degrees.
I would rather we help them there, instead of displacing them here.
And white people from Norway help the US more than black people from Haiti how?
More in that we would most likely be getting more upstanding citizens. Ones that are more willing to pull their own weight and not commit crime, or even just be okay with sucking down welfare for the rest of their foreseeable lives.
They would both be given equal opportunities to achieve their goals of making a normal life here. Though my bet would be on the person who doesn't come from such a thoroughly ravaged country.
Then again my stance is that we help them there and not displace them at all.
We don't need more opinions from people living in ****hole states. Why can't we get more opinions from people who live in Connecticut?
See how that sounds?

Yes, he did. He took direct action against the words of Leviticus. And yet, you bring up Leviticus to criticize my 'hypocrisy.' Are you calling Jesus a hypocrite?
Afraid to answer the question?
Miss Liberty was originally intended as a monument to the principles of international republicanism, not conceived and sculpted as a symbol of immigration. Not till 1903 when the "New Colossus" was added was the meaning bastardized by some elitist, bleeding heart, socialite.
Vast majority did not come from England, but yes, even many of the English who came over were amongst the poorest. I suppose you never heard of an indentured servant.
I suppose immigration is perfectly fine when they are bringing disease and bloodshed to the native population so long as they are white.
Is Jesus not above the Law?
Indentured servants were a minority
and they were indentured to another colonist that had money.
I don't want any immigrants from any Country! I want NO IMMIGRATION for the next few years I want to clean our house first.

If you're living in the distant past....Do you know why we had places like Ellis Island?
Vetting is our friend.
We vet now and we vetted before Trump.
