As to "Liberal Fascism," its main arguments and logic can be summarized thusly: "Hitler was a vegetarian. Therefore vegetarians are Nazis."

And as to limited government, conservatives want to cut food stamps and increase the military budget with useless weapons systems, spending more than the next several countries combined. They limit taxes, not spending.

I am proud that someone called me a communist years ago, as it meant she had run out of arguments. “Communist” is the accusation the right uses when they are losing, a step up from un-American. Joe McCarthy and Dick Nixon are dead. Get used to it.

And please, democrats created chaos on the border? Check the court decisions on Trump’s actions. Guess democrats also did it at the airports after Trump’s election as well.

Yes, NATO has stood the test of time. NAFTA was re-worked into, well NAFTA. The Convention Against Torture and those on Refugees have served us well. Remember, these agreements Trump trashes were put in place in the shadow of WWII and the holocaust.

China did not take those jobs from us. We gave those jobs away decades ago, when we put cost over all other considerations when buying things.

By the 1990's, those jobs had already left. Moved to the Philippines, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand, and over a hundred other countries.

All China did is steal those jobs from them. But China did not steal jobs from the US, they had been gone from here for a long time.

Do not believe me? In 1990, the largest Levi Strauss factory in the US closed their doors, moving all operations to Costa Rica. That only left 2 factories left, one in San Francisco and one in Texas. The San Francisco factory closed in 2002, the Texas plant in 2003. It has been 16 years since Levi jeans have been made in the US (not counting the return of high end custom made ones). And I bet you never even noticed or cared.

Good point. I can see that the GOP's southern strategy and law and order politics, for example, used race but were not racist per se. But I am not sure it is quite as fringe-ey on on the right when it comes to red-baiting. Remember, Congress investigated Hollywood for subversion in its plots during the 1950s. I also remember James Watt during Reagan's time saying he divided people into two categories, "liberals and Americans," and a politician said a republican Korean war veteran, Pete McCloskey, was campaigning like he was in Red China because he opposed the war in Vietnam. These were not fringe characters. It's hard to resist calling Trump a racist, but him aside, I don't think the antifa people, for example, and others who use the words fascist or racist reflexively are as close to mainstream democrats as the whole "America Love it or Leave it" crowd have been to mainstream republican strategies. The "go back where you came from" chants or evil Saul Alinsky tropes we have seen recently are updated versions of the same.

dear, if Trump had been allowed to build his wall there would be no deadly chaos at the border, none, no dead bodies piling up in the dessert, no children separated etc etc . Hitler at least believed that he was doing something to benefit Germany. Trump isn't the least bit interested in doing anything to help America, its people, or anything else. His interest never goes farther than getting more money and getting others to idolize him.
