Trump Tied Ukraine Aid to Inquiries He Sought, Bolton Book Says

A quid pro quo isn’t wrongdoing per se. It’s only wrongdoing when it’s done for a corrupt purpose. Trump’s QPQ was corrupt. Biden’s was in furtherance of American objectives.

The former doesn't exist. The latter is preserved for posterity on your favorite personal device.

So how many smoking guns do you suppose Republicans can ignore?

Say that came from FOX news, what then would you declare?

Are you all blind to what the Times of New York along with the Washington Post are trying to pull off? They are trying to remove our president. Never mind how the Bidens are crooks, I believe the WP and Times are as well.

I do. Only trump supporters hit that pay wall. Everyone else can access those articles just fine. Odd, that.

It wasn't a paywall. It was a bubble wall.

Oh I know I know. Letting the public hear that tape of Trump and Parnas together for an hour, after Trump said he didn't know Parnas, was wrong. The rest of American has to join the supporters with their heads as far up Trump's butt as they can go.

"...Someone said that in the book, someone claims..."

Oh yeah...very good reliable evidence

Which is why he, Mulvaney, and the rest of the people involved need to appear before the Senate.

How can so many Americans be so afraid of the truth? It's like the country is taking after Trump as the biggest cowards and snowflakes.

Someone's claim in a book is not a smoking gun

Oh, you didn't hear? There's a tape of Trump and Parnas together discussing the issue. The same Parnas Trump said he didn't know.

And all sorts of other people directly or indirectly involved have said the same thing, some Trump appointees.

Have we seen what Bolton actually wrote yet?

Whatever.

If there was a dead body with multiple gun shot wounds, and Trump was standing over him while holding a gun with smoke coming out of the barrel, you'd say, "That's not a smoking gun, and it's certainly not evidence he shot the man."

As someone said, if Trump killed someone outright, the Senate would acquit him 53-47.

If he shot a Republican Senator, they would acquit him 52-47.

It’s a cult.

No! The Senate would convict him because he committed a crime unlike whats currently going on.

You all are a bunch of gullible fools!

It's amazing how literally every account and document supports the allegation that Trump extorted a foreign leader to announce a fake investigation into his political rival in order to cheat in the 2020 election by leveraging $400 million crucial military aid, and no evidence refutes it.

It's almost like he did it. Eerie.

:thinking

Nah

It still baffles me that Trumpsters don't get the difference.

It is truly baffling and makes be wonder how often "the earth is flat" gets discussed at the dinner table. The moves by Biden have been explain forwards, backwards and sideways yet it doesn't sink in.

You all are a bunch of gullible fools!

You sound worried.

You should be.

The only defence left is pushing and moaning about the process.

Now the tide will truly turn.

Someone's claim in a book is not a smoking gun

Perhaps you could assist by listing some hypothetical smoking guns relevant to this case. Things that might get a Trump supporter to say "oh, ok, yeah that's really bad."

Where is the bar? If you aren't a Trump supporter, you are closer on the political spectrum. Surely you can divine some sort of rational principle that says deploying a private attorney to round up incompetent mobsters to pressure Ukraine to announce investigations into the son of recently-announced candidate Joe Biden, then explicitly demanding that favor in an edited-down memo, then freezing congressionally approved aid to that country - a country that the GOP candidate claimed was our "greatest geopolitical foe" (repeated all over internet boards) for purposes of calling Obama "weak" on them - is not a corrupt use of office for personal gain.

The gaslighting has gotten so bad I will be unsurprised when someone finally suggests that he did it all and it's fine that he did it because having Biden as a president would be worse.

Dont worry. He will testify.

Then Mycroft brought up the thoroughly debunked Ukraine interference today. smh
