President Trump on Friday renewed his attacks on NFL players who protest during the national anthem, claiming they “wanted to show their ‘outrage’ at something that most of them are unable to define.”

“The NFL players are at it again - taking a knee when they should be standing proudly for the National Anthem,” Trump tweeted.

REAL Campaign finance reform be enacted that puts the dollar power back in the hands of the voters - which includes ending every dark money donation organizations.

Perhaps strategically that's best, but I don't think it's a nothing event for POTUS to crap on the principle of the 1A, and veer alarmingly close to the letter.

He's using the Presidency to explicitly call for those engaging in peaceful protest to be fired or lose pay. No matter who much he disagrees with the players, this should be in a normal era pretty shocking behavior by POTUS. Our right to protest without fear of government retaliation is a sacred right, and Trump is doing all he can to effectively if not explicitly crap on that right.
