I just heard trump questioning why Biden and his wife wear a mask outside while Biden does not wear one in his basement. I watched as Trump's spokesperson basically asked the same STUPID question. I am sorry, but trump will say anything he thinks will hurt Biden, but this is just totally stupid, stupid, stupid. The CDC does not tell you to wear a mask in your house. I might wear one at home if I or my wife showed symptoms, but certainly not every day otherwise. Are any of you who wear masks outside wear one at home?

The only time I wore a mask indoors, which is stupid under normal conditions, is after I picked up my son at LaGuardia airport in March when he left Colombia, S. A.-- just two days before the country was locked down. He had traveled through several different airports on his journey and went into isolation in the bottom level (not a basement) of our home for 15 days. During the times we shared the kitchen in those 15 days, he wore a mask and so did I.

There's no need to wear a mask at home when you're with people who you know for certain have been self-isolating at their home and have not come into contact with others.

And this bull**** being propagated by Trump and Fox about Joe Biden 'hiding in his basement' is absolutely laughable. He lives in a 6,800 square foot estate on many acres of property protected by the Secret Service. It would be absolutely ridiculous to believe that he's 'holed up in his basement'.

He's a moron. His one survival skill has been conning people. His massive stupidity has certainly hurt him, but since he inherited piles of money it wasn't fatal. A rich man can pay people to do his thinking for them. And if that rich man's one skill is conning people, paying people to do his thinking is much less likely to result in them cleaning him out: he knows the tells because they're the only way he survives.

It's actually a serious question if you believe the hype. If you go out of your house and interact with people, e.g., the grocery store, you might get infected, be asymptomatic and unknowingly infect your wife. If you wear one outside the home, I can't see a reason my you wouldn't wear one inside, where the risk of infection is actually greater.

It might be advisable to wear a mask at home and practice as much distancing as able. If a family member contracts the coronavirus out of the hshld but then when inside the home everyone lets their guard down and social spacing and wearing masks are not practiced. Data from 100 New York hospitals shows that 66% of new admissions related to the virus are people who were at home.
