Trump proposes military parades in major cities

Very true, the brass and troops hate the dog and pony show. When I was active, i found much of the ceremonial aspects of military life a waste of man power, especially as were expected to do more with less.

That's up to us who also put those senators and house members into their seats. The entire house and 1/3 of the Senators are up for re-election in 2018. If we the people make known loud enough what we expect of them, they won't provide too much interference. And I am seeing the base energized and getting hopeful and enthusiastic again and that usually makes us more loud.

Ya that 26% of the electorate can just ignore the rest of America, Trump needs to lay off the childish tweets, and bring this country together.

But you'll vote for the Republican incumbent, won`t you. If Trump disappoints you, you still wouldnt vote Democratic. That `vocal base`only counts in nomination campaigns and the Presidential election was still close enough that Trump won`t be allowed to jeopardize the mid-terms by pissing off millions of voters. The viewing public is fickle.
 
I think it's a great idea! Why shouldn't we get to see an awesome display of not only our heroes but the cool machines and technology they use to protect us?

Trump will not lay off the tweets so long as he has to contend with a hostile press determined to destroy him if they can. So we might as well accept that he will continue to use his Twitter account. And 30 out of 50 states, 90% of all counties in America, 85% of the land mass, all voted with majorities for Trump. Your 26% that you and other sore losers are using is so dishonest I can't imagine that you aren't embarrassed to use it. Many who did not vote for Trump and many who did not vote at all are now wishing him well.

The press needs to say nice things about him or get ostracized. Good thing we can trust Trump supporters to hold him to account! Oh wait...

According to MSM that is all he has done, and he still was elected. Remember no one is listening to progressives and cry babies right now. I believe one site called them, plus the boycotting Congress members , the "Ignorables". It fits.

I used to be a strong Democrat but left the party because it left everything I valued. As long as it ignores mainstream America in favor of special interest groups, as long as it promotes more and more socialism, even Marxism at times, promotes political correctness which is the worst abomination ever forced on the people, favors European models over Constitutional principles, etc. etc. etc., I won't be voting Democrat. And probably neither will many, if any, of the others who voted for Trump or other than Hillary.

Trump has done okay so far pissing off the more militant and self righteous left. I see no reason he shouldn't continue to do so.
