Trump pressured Nielsen to release detained immigrants into so-called sanctuary cities

Domestic violence is NOT an acceptable reason for Asylum...

Economic hardship is NOT an acceptable reason for Asylum....

Family in the US presently is NOT an acceptable reason for Asylum....

Poor healthcare options, bad water, shoddy housing all are NOT acceptable reasons for Asylum....

See a pattern here?

Correct.

The asylum concept and process is being grossly misused by the plutocracy and its useful idiots.

Again, I would ask that you read a book and try to get outside and meet people who you might disagree with politically. You might find out that you have a lot more in common with them than you think, such as being equally awful, judgmental and tribalist as they are. ;)

LOL!

i don't understand why you guys on the left don't want illegal aliens being released into sanctuary cities. You see, we people on the right of you are bunch of racists and xenophobes, who cling to god and guns. Just a bunch of deplorables who don't want these people in our non-sanctuary towns and cities because we will discriminate against them and possibly ship them back to whatever country they came from. And we're trying to cross the aisle here, so we can be on good terms with you. We don't know what compassion and care is. We're just a bunch isolated hicks who just sit at home, getting fat, destroying the environment by farting and drive big suvs, but we want to be accepted by you guys as contributing members of society. So please, show us to become like you guys and accept this gift that we are offering you: Families, coming from central america, with kids that have big dreams of being successful and happy, who want to be americans. Like bill maher said, we don't hate you guys. We want to be you. You guys have great hospitals, high populations, sophisticated food, higher education, all the top celebrities and artists, healthier lifestyles, and you teach science. All that is in your sanctuary cities, and, boy, it's a sanctuary from us midland, small town, uneducated, smelly hicks. So have a heart, and have them live in the super cities of tomorrow. Have them live in your homes and apartments. They're far superior to what we live in. Otherwise, they may be forced to follow our unfair laws here in the wastelands of america. There's no strings attached, other than love and atonement.

lol! :)

So. Much. Wrong.

The political asylum process is being grossly misused, and the illegals are here and keep coming because the plutocrats want them, period.

Illegal immigration is illegal.

Your denial of the plutocracy's wishes & power would be cute if you were 5, but your objection to the bending and etc, of law is comical in its irony here. :)

Plutocrats live in gated bubble worlds. Donald Trump is the first that comes to mind. The super-wealthy's endowments are their tax-exempt charitable foundations which they then turn over to boards of trustees to run. The earnings of the endowment are used to pursue typically grand but wide-open missions written into the foundation’s charter—like “to promote the well-being of mankind throughout the world.”

No, I'm sorry but your dystopic concept of plutocrats are simply not valid. Plutocrats aren't interested in poor immigrants from Central America. Plutocracy has no roots in democracy, equality or humanity. They have no political philosophy or ideology. Men like Steve Mnuchin, Mitch McConnell, and of course Donald Trump are part of a society that is ruled by people of vast wealth. People of vast wealth consider everyone else as nothing more than some annoying lint on their three thousand dollar Brioni suit jacket.

Explain to me what reason you have to continue to insist that plutocrats want illegals here? These people aren't illegal when they present themselves LEGALLY at borders to border patrol. They are illegal if they sneak through illegally or overstay their Visas, but they are not illegal when they reach the border crossing. They most certainly are not traveling 2,200 miles because anyone wants them here. They're traveling to escape brutality, poverty, and a humanitarian crisis.

Washington (CNN)The Trump administration pressured the Department of Homeland Security to release immigrants detained at the southern border into so-called sanctuary cities in part to retaliate against Democrats who oppose President Donald Trump's plans for a border wall, a source familiar with the discussions told CNN on Thursday.

Trump personally pushed Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to follow through on the plan, the source said. Nielsen resisted and the DHS legal team eventually produced an analysis that killed the plan, which was first reported by The Washington Post.

The proposal is another example of Trump's willingness to enact hardline immigration policies to deliver on border security, a key issue for his political base. Thursday's reports come as the President has amplified his rhetoric on illegal immigration in recent weeks, even threatening to close the southern border if Congress and Mexico don't take action.

Trump planned retaliation to sanctuary cities and asked Kristjen Nielson to release immigrants they captured released into sanctuary cities. No doubt this was Stephen Miller's plan and propaganda for the upcoming 2020 election. DHS said 'no, that's illegal'.

"These are human beings, not game pieces," the official said.

I would get off my ass and learn the habits of successful people.

You should too.

And here I thought that illegals were sunshine and light to whatever community they set foot in... now getting the illegals that the sanctuary cities have called for is a punishment? How strange....

Despite the hypocritical antics of the left, this is a real problem.

Quite frankly they should been sent to squat in lawmakers district homes so that THEY can stop playing games with this serious issue.

You make a few valid points - Trump's a revolting, hypocritical plutocrat of course - but REALLY don't understand what's happening.

Illegal immigration?

A bad thing.

Plutocrats?

They LOVE it, and make excuses for insane ideation (asylum!) supporting it.
