Trump has been consistent in his approval rating according to Gallup. He started out at 45% dropped to 35% twice and has climbed back up to 45%. 513 days in office, Trump is where he started out at. His range has been ten points.

Obama started out at 67% and fell to 46% on day 509 in office. His low for his first 509 days. So at this point in time according to Gallup Obama fell 21 points from his first days in office.
G.W. Bush started out at 57% would fall to 51% just before 9-11, then soar up to 90%. He was at 74% on day 514 on his way down. Bush had a range of 39 points between high and low so far into his presidency.
Bill Clinton started out at 58%, fell to a low of 37% on day 137. He would rise back up to match his high of 58% on day 375 and then fall again down to 49% on day 508. Bill had a range of 21 points between high and low thus far into his presidency.
G.H.W. Bush started out at 51%, he would rise to 80% on day 352, then fall some down to 69% on day 513. G.H.W.'s low was 51% on the day he took office, his high was the 80%. A range of 29 points.
Reagan started out at 51%, he would achieve his high of 68% on day 111, drop to 43% on day 461 before rising modestly to 45% 510. Reagan's range between high and low was 25 points up to this point in his presidency.
Carter started out at 66%, rose to 75% on day 60, then drop to 40% on day 452 before rising two points to 42% on day 515. Jimmy had a range of 35 points between his high and low thus far into his presidency.
I stop there. I'd like to point out the huge range other presidents than Trump experienced. At least up to approximately the same point in their presidency. Trump started out low, dropped lower and has risen back to low. 45% in my book is still low, but not extremely low as in being below 40%. Bill Clinton is the only other president among other than Trump that I have listed to fall below 40% with Carter hitting 40% exactly on the nose.
The lack of range in Trump's approval rating shows, at least to me that most people had made up their mind about him before he even became president. Trump has a love/hate relationship that all other presidents haven't had. Other presidents approval rating reflected in how the the country was doing, what issues were hot, what was happening at the time. With Trump very small range, issues and direction of the country have little impact.
His whole election was unique and so too is his presidency. There is no previous mold to fit Trump into. Here's an article from Gallup I received today, it can leave on scratching his head.
In U.S., 36% Have Positive Opinion of Trump as a Person
