Washington(CNN)President Donald Trump signaled this week that he's open to cutting federal entitlements to reduce the federal deficit, despite previously campaigning on protecting Medicare and Social Security.

Asked by CNBC at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, whether entitlements would ever be on his plate, Trump responded, "At some point they will be."

"We have tremendous growth. We're going to have tremendous growth. This next year I -- it'll be toward the end of the year. The growth is going to be incredible. And at the right time, we will take a look at that," he added.

Your message is 100% a lie. Nor can you quote him saying he is considering cutting anything.

What he said is he may consider increasing social security and other entitlement because he predicts huge economic growth.
 
Trump spent most of 2017 working with Paul Ryan to take health care from millions of people. They failed, thankfully. Guess he’s feeling nostalgic for old Paul.

You can make changes to entitlements without cutting them. Apparently you havent learned to think at all.

All it means is that DEMOCRATS think the ONLY adjustment to social security entitlements is to cut them. Not one of them would even THINK of raising social security and other entitlements at least to match inflation.

What we REALLY are learning is that if they vote Democrat, people on social security and medicare know they will receive less every year relative to inflation.

As one, then another and probably half a dozen more new threads on this are started, everyone of of them is a confession by Democrats that they never, ever, ever would raise any entitlement benefits as inflation reduced them to nothingness.

Vote Democrat and watch your social security and disability payment cut every year by inflation. They all so far FURIOUSLY demand entitlement payments NEVER be changed and raised.
