Trump: Let Napoleon Bonaparte rescue Kurds

One thing you have to admire about Trump haterz is their consistency.

If Trump had refused to pull our 50 military advisers out and any were injured or killed, they would scream, "Trump's Benghazi!"

If Trump had brought more troops in to keep Turkey out of Syria they would scream, "Trump's starting a war to draw attention away from the impeachment!"

And when Trump pulls the advisers out it's "Trump is letting Putin win!"

Trump could cure cancer and the haterz would scream about all the oncologists he put out of work.

So you agree with Trump that Napoleon Bonaparte is welcome to assist in protecting the Kurds?

Lighten up francis. It may relieve your pains from being a trump contortionist.

You have no idea how happy I was to find that I had been quoted five new times and all of them were from you...

Napo would be welcome into any military... the guy is a genius.

Zombie Napo.... has possibilities.

Could you imagine the possibilities of a Zombie Napo Army of Mutants scathing across the battlefield!
Now tell me you were just as happy to find that you were quoted one time by me. :bootyshake

I am always happy when I find that you quoted me!

Welcome to our world circa 2008-2016

Not sure how you got to that conclusion. I don't think American lives are worth getting into a shooting war with Turkey. And Erdogan didn't really ask Trump's permission. He basically told Trump, "We're coming into Syria. You can either leave your troops there or pull them out. Your call."

It was a tough choice either way. Not sure I would have chosen that myself, but I can understand Trump's not wanting to step into that quagmire. Putin stepped into it and within 24 hours he got doublecrossed by the Turks and had to ally himself with Syria. Or maybe he better-dealed Erdogan for Assad. Either way, not our fight.

Sorry for the nuance. Please continue your Trumphate.

Jesus Christ what a stupid ****ing argument.

If your house catches on fire do you think the fire fighters should get in there and do their job or should they pull you to the side and start questioning why you aren't a fire fighter yourself and why should they do their job when you refuse to put your own house fire out?

Whether the pull out and the utter failure to stop our former allies from being slaughtered is a correct decision or not doesn't begin with "You aren't going to put your ass on the line are you?" It's a childish debate tactic you are hanging on because you have no good valid reason to defend these actions. If Obama looked weak with the "Red-Line" comment, Trump looks like he's on all fours with a collar around his neck and cowering in the corner. He cut and ran so fast that we couldn't even ensure that Isis prisoners were secure. Hell, Trump doesn't even care that Turkey was shooting at our boys, very likely on purpose. So no wonder "put YOUR ass on the line" is the best you can come up with.

It may be a stupid argument but that doesn't change the fact that I have heard that exact same argument time and time again from the left when it was a Republican president talking about using the military.

Ah...so you are one of those special "raping and slaughtering innocent women and children is only a problem if we like them" kind of people.....

Sorry pal...Ive already been there...have the merit badge and t-shirts. I know what its like to defend Kurds on one side of the border and support the killing of Kurds on the other side of a border on the orders of a CiC that is playing global politics. This is nothing new for us or for me. Thats why when I see you people ****ting yourself over this I know your ONLY motivation is NOT care and concern over the Kurds but "orange man bad".

That's not the consensus opinion, even with senate repubs.

Sure. Nice playbook switch BTW. One can hardly tell you may have once supported disengagement when Obama was president.

I supported non intervention from Bush onward in a consistent fashion. However, we have promises that were made and we need to keep them or not make promises in the first place.

Furthermore, Trump had the chance to withdraw military support when it would have been 100% easy to do from both a moral standpoint and a bipartisan unity standpoint but refused. Now he pulls this stunt. Why?

I already answered that and it's not a stunt. Please pay attention. The reason is because Erdogan forced his hand. He called Trump and said, "I'm coming in. Either pull your troops out or be prepared to fight."

How many Kurdish lives is one American life worth? Are those 50 advisers' lives worth just being a speedbump and die at the Turkish military's hand so we can go all in and actively fighting against the Turks? If Trump does that, we both know the left will scream that he's creating a distraction to move attention away from impeachment.

And when was that exactly.

Do you really think Turkey would risk directly attacking US troops? Do you think the US has no leverage with Turkey and are just the supplicants in that alliance?

Turks attack USA troops already, they think that trump is a coward and USA is on decline this what putler tells him

Not directly. My point was that Turkey will not directly attack US troops as an act of war; unless Erdogan wants to unleash a series of bad events. I don't think he's stupid enough to want his country isolated just to set up a buffer zone between Turkey and the Syrian Kurds. I think he's pushing the envelope of how much he can get away with before there are strong consequences.

:lamo our troops were there to provide an incentive to stop Erdogan from mobilizing an offensive. Attacking a nato ally would have been suicidal. Saying “the left would have done ________ is a nonsensical excuse. Do you have transcripts of that call? Considering we made a promise to the Kurds to enable them to more successfully fight ISIS, seemen like a great deal.

This is the problem with people like yourself who suffer from TDS. They think everything is about trump. Stop letting him live rent free in your head 24/7.
My post had nothing to do with trump.

Suffering from "TDS"? Ha ha, only a Trumpster would make a comment like that. Are you posting from Moscow?
