I believe the unhinged One referred to himself as an 'extremely stable genius' today. Clearly Pelosi has him right where she wants him and is playing him like a fiddle. She knows his achilles heel, which doesn't bode well for him at all moving forward.

Spot on with the bolded, and good on you for saying it. Claiming one is a very stable genius, very religious, and very patriotic given the sum total of their life is quite worrisome to some degree to every American. We didn’t ever hear any of that from Romney, so we indeed had a stable choice in 2012.

It only took me to type in “very st” to get all the links here, so enough with others and their diversions. Now we’re seeing doctored pictures of Pelosi on line. If America wants to vote for a nick-naming unstable person who doesn’t read, let alone on your level, it deserves what it gets.

McConnell remains the de facto president. Look how long it took to get through the thick head of stable genius for disaster relief. Kiss any budget deal good-bye.

Btw, McConnell has his own problems, such as a potentially divisive primary against Tillis in the all-important state of NC, home of the GOP Convention next year.

Well, Obama never said he was a genius. His record supports his humility.

He did, however, claim credit for making the sea levels recede and for healing the planet.

In this, he demonstrated further that his restraint in not declaring himself a genius was richly justified.

The low estimation of Grant seems based on his West Point record and the poor results of his Presidency but fails to take sufficiently into account that in his dying days he wrote what is considered the finest autobiography in English in the 19th Century, never mind his mastery as a war general. He deserves better.

I'm not sure that being a genius in the traditional sense is a good thing for a chief executive, politician to be.

Being a pragmatic problem solver seems to be the best profile.

Adjusting the plan on the fly seems to be the essential quality needed to lead. A general in battle. A running back during a football play. A President while in office.

When everything goes according to plan, the plan should be employed. It's when the situation changes that the plan needs to change.
