It's a mystery why you think that's the relevant question. You seem determined to prove that all you care about are your tax cuts, the $millions you will save. Funny that the Left is saying Trump is going to far in taking aim at Fox News but yet they've been WAAAAAAAAYYY over the edge since the 2016 Election when Trump was announced the winner. Also, this is an interesting scenario. On one end you have the, supposed, all conservative network of Fox News, whose been around since the mid 90's, and now you have Trump, who's instinctively conservative. The Left, supposedly, hates Fox News, but now they're defending them because Trump criticized them. But the criticism isn't anything new. The Left talks sh!t about Fox News ALL THE TIME, and after Trump's remarks they're not only defending them, but also, at the same time, STILL criticizing them. In the end, I don't think it's Fox News itself they have a problem with because they know that it's more of moderate network, for the most part.

It's Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingram, and Jeanine Pirro that they have problems with because they have the largest personalities, and, in their minds, they think they run Fox News, but in reality, they just have the biggest ratings out of ALL the other news networks. In other words, to the general public, they are the most legitimate and respected during prime time, and they're ALL conservatives. Had it not been for those people, and others like them in the past (like Bill O'Reily), the Left would have NO problems with Fox News, other than the occasional criticism here and there. Honestly, since Roger Ailes had passed, Fox News has been going a little more to the Left, so it's interesting what Leftists are doing. Theydon't want to defend Fox News, but, in their minds, they have to because Trump said something negative about them. They hatred for Trump is so great that they have to defend a (for now) more moderate news network, and place that has real conservatives as anchors.

I say let Trump post more of these tweets. It PAINS the Left to defend a network whose extremely few anchors are Trump supporters and conservatives, because those people are a part of the package, and a network aren't filled with nothing but anti-American Leftists. They can't stand it. This is what good, quality comedy looks like. Not the crap that's now on late night shows or what they put in movies and TV shows, where it's NOTHING but hatred and virtue signalling. Keep it up, Mr President! Normally I don't end my posts this way, but this is a special case: MAGA AND KAG!!!

I voted for Donald J. Trump as the lesser of the two evils.

And if I vote next year, I will vote for him again because it will again be a matter of the lesser of the two evils. All the current Dem candidates -- including Vice President Biden -- would do more real harm to the nation than Donald J. Trump does with all of his childish bluster and unfulfilled threats.

I am looking for an adult on the political scene, but I can't find a single one. There is not one Dem candidate who lays out a coherent and feasible program and avoids insulting the incumbent. What a bunch of children, and that includes President Trump.

The high interest rates were partly an almost inevitable consequence of leaving the Bretton Woods agreement. That's not necessarily a defense of Bretton but it is an acknowledgment that a decision to summarily withdraw is going to cause shock and pain a few years down the road.
There were other well documented factors that also played a role.

Unemployment had risen from 5.1% in January 1974 to a high of 9.0% in May 1975.
Although it had gradually declined to 5.6% by May 1979, unemployment began rising again.

A 5.6% unemployment rate, is that really so terrible when 5% unemployment is generally recognized as "full employment" by most experts?
 
Trump only cares about himself. If anyone in his family didn't do what he wanted, he'd turn on'm. He's not a Republican, and said so. The GOP is now the Trump party. No longer the party of Lincoln, as if it has been anyway, but the party of Trump. As long as you are 100% loyal, he'll like you. As soon as you do anything he doesn't like, and you may not know what that is, he'll bite you like a rabid dog. He's always been this way. It's been obvious for many years. He made himself plain to know while campaigning, which he never stopped, for president. The flim-flam man bamboozled the gullible public who took it all hook, line and sinker, against their own best interest. Amexit man is making America number zero. The problem with Iran is self-inflicted by Trump. It's his style to F everything up, like in his trade wars, then act the savior. Always blame the last guy. Never his fault. No self responsibility. No, I'm actually not moving any goal posts. Your question was, and I'll quote you, "What exactly has Trump done as president that you can objectively state has caused harm to the USA?" My emphasis.

That's a very specific question, and it's not "how did the economy and other factors unrelated to the President's actions that happened to coincide with President X's term of office harm you or the USA."

You're the one moving goal posts. You asked what Trump has done "as President" that has harmed "the USA" and I answered that question. You ignored that answer entirely, then moved the goal posts to what he's done to harm me personally.

And in the meantime, you're conflating the economic conditions under Trump (good) and Carter (bad) without pointing to anything either man did to create those economic conditions. Trump is overseeing a $trillion deficit at full employment, which is good short term for the economy I suppose, but it's unsustainable and someone after him will have to clean up his mess and raise taxes or cut spending he failed to do "as President." Furthermore, the trends are largely unchanged from the bad old days of Obama, on nearly every front, so it's not even clear that the fiscal stimulus from borrowed tax cuts is having an impact on the economy. I'm certain they've helped YOU a great deal.

And as to Carter, you're blaming him for the oil embargo and the high interest rates Volcker put into effect to finally put a stake through the inflation of that era. But much or all that was a carryover of the Nixon/Ford/Vietnam days, and nothing that I'm aware of or that you've pointed to was due to anything CARTER did "as President" except have the courage to appoint Volcker and let him do the tough job that set the country up for the Reagan era. Carter's fate was probably sealed as soon as Volcker and the Fed jacked up interest rates into record levels, and sent the economy into the INTENDED recession.
