No, Iran is a theocracy, not much different than we'd have here without the first amendment. Iran is a country that also used to be a democracy before the meddling of our CIA overthrew their elected leader in favor of a dictator.

Cuba is a dictatorship, but so what? That's not why the US has refused to talk to them for so long. The beef was with them being a cold war ally of Russia, you know, the country that has been the biggest threat to our own and with whom your orange dictator-wannabe is colluding?

As for Venezuela, it was very democratic until a financial crisis became the impetus for an autocrat to take power and that's not Obama's fault either. They pose a bigger threat to a plate of enchiladas than to our nation. Why you chose them as an Obama failure is beyond me, just more magical thinking by conservatives.

Fine, I can see you're far more frightened by tiny, non-nuclear nations than you are aggressive, militant, nuclear ones, like Russia. Your equivocation is a political and intellectual failure, though, much like Trump himself.
