Trump disparages Pelosi at their first meeting since impeachment inquiry began, Democrats say

Pelosi is the most successful Speaker in modern time -- and that's why they hate her. Her political skills are masterful.

What is third rate -- or third grade, is a president that can't control his outbursts. Normal presidents never insult other officials in public, no matter how they feel. It's what we learn as a child -- that everything that comes to mind doesn't have to leave your mouth. As adults, we see this as tact.

There is something lacking in maturity when a president calls the Speaker "third rate," or an opponent "Little Marco," or "Sleepy Joe," etc. A screw is loose.

Obamacare. :lamo

By the looks of it, she's the only one that has the guts to stand up to Trump in that entire room.

By doing what? Crying about it to the media?...lol

Clearly, there is a minority of Americans who think Trump is unfit, but those are not the people who elected him to office. I recommend that if they want Trump removed they should vote him out, not file false charges against him one after another which keep falling apart upon closer examination.

The number of people who think he is unfit, at the last poll of this, before impeachment, was 53%. That makes it the majority of Americans.

Majority of Americans think Trump is unfit to serve as president
National (US) Poll - September 27, 2017 - Trump Is Not Fit To Be Preside | Quinnipiac University Connecticut
National (US) Poll - January 10, 2018 - Trump Is Intelligent, But Not | Quinnipiac University Connecticut
National (US) Poll - September 10, 2018 - U.S. Voters Believe Anonymous | Quinnipiac University Connecticut
National (US) Poll - January 15, 2019 - Shutdown Does Not Change Trump | Quinnipiac University Connecticut

And, interestingly, 52% of Americans now think he needs to be impeached and removed. Forgive me if I make a logic leap here, but if people say you should be removed via impeachment, that is saying you are unfit for office.

...and, may I point out the articles I posted in my previous post were Conservative newspapers that said Trump was unfit. Interesting you would say a "minority", when many influencers of his own political persuasion hold that view.

As to the righteousness of the impending impeachment, Trump has conducted himself in the most unpresential manner we have seen our lifetime and likely in the history of this nation. He has operated outside of the laws and in defiance of the norms of the presidency. That is why he is being impeached. Contrary to your statement, NONE of the charges against him have "fallen apart". First, no formal charges have been made, but we do know already that he has obstructed justice in hampering the Mueller investigation, colluded with Russia (it just to not rise to the level of conspiracy), been involved in a campaign finance fraud for which his associate is serving time, committed contempt of congress on numerous ocassions, conducted foreign policy outside of the bounds of the state department, abused his power by withholding duly authorized aide to an ally attempting to leverage it to curry personal political favor, and likely is in gross violation of the Constitutional prohibition on emoluments

He needs to be impeached for the historic record, whether or not he is actually removed, at this point, is actually moot. I am all for the voters deciding to turn him out in 2020. But, let's make sure we have a full disclosure of his corruption before the vote.

If seditious traitors manage to amass a simple majority of supporters for their agenda in the US, can they legally disband the Constitution and install a government run by insurrectionist rebels to brutally rule America by force?
Or would a seditious traitorous majority mob still have to honor the Constitution, the rule of law, and due processes, especially in the impeachment of legally elected leaders?

You cats are triggered like a mother****er because Trump put Pelosi in her place...lol

Us cats?

Lol...no. that's not what happened...lol.

Trump is incapable of putting anyone in "their place" because he is basically dumber than everyone around him, which is why he constantly looks like an idiot?.

You can't be serious with this drivel, can you?

Do you know what an impeachment is?

Treason? Who is trying to overthrow whom? Is Trump trying to overthrow Pelosi or is Nancy trying to overthrow Trump?

No one is trying to overthrow Princess Donna Trump. Impeachment is a Constitutional process. Pelosi is schooling you and the rest of the cult as to how it works. Your little snowflake is melting under the pressure.

What kind of impeachment? One which allows the defendant to defend himself according to the rule of due process laws, or one which is not started officially by a House vote and which is conducted by democrats behind closed doors where participation by those not fully on board with the democrat kangaroo court process is banned?

Crying Wolf over and over is not working....Dems believe what they want ..I get it....but Trump supporters see it for what it is....media manipulation

RussiaHoax UkraineHoax...nobody is buying what your selling but yourselves. Truth
I hardly think Trump supporters are the litmus test to see "it for what it is." They have been indoctrinated and brainwashed into believing that what Trump says is the truth and what respected newspapers report is fake news. They are the ones who have been manipulated. Trump has copied the tactics of mind control used by dictators and cult leaders throughout history. These cult leader tactics include: absolute confidence, grandiosity of “only I can fix this,” sowing fear and confusion, redefining facts by elevating "alternative facts" (lies) to the same status as facts and belittling critics.

Trump is like the cult leader Jim Jones, who directed a mass suicide and murder of more than 900 followers at Jonestown in Guyana in 1978. In his dying breath, Jones said it was 'all the media’s fault. Don’t believe them.' Sound familiar?

As stated endlessly on this forum, the subject of impeachment gets to defend themselves during the Senate trial. The House acts as a grand jury. In a grand jury proceeding, the defendant doesn't get to rebut the prosecution. The purpose of a grand jury is to determine whether indictment is warranted. The same for the House actions.

So what? Politics is a dirty game. I'm sure she can handle it.

To get on the news and whine about this is silly.

Lying is a perfectly acceptable democrat strategy.

Capture (2).webp

I know man, what is with these women thinking that they can spout off like that? They should have more respect

How did they get out of the kitchen anyway?

I'd take the reliability of the NY Times over McCarthy anytime.

From multiple sources, Trump walked in, slammed his files on the table and began berating Pelosi.

You previously said that McCarthy said it was a productive meeting. Well, what was accomplished?

Trump has files? For what?

Promised. Committed to. Guaranteed. Intends to. Said. Take your pick.

All those words have different meanings...YOU take your pick.

And ffs, how can people post about a subject for days and never research the source material? High schoolers extemporaneously debate better than a lot of posters here. High schoolers also know to Google before they vomit dozens or hundreds of statements/questions onto a topic that they've never researched.

I also wonder how they don't notice (or likelier, how they disregard) that opinions that oppose or criticize Trump tend to be diverse, take different tones, use different facts, and even arrive at different conclusions. With few exceptions, there is one single perspective/position/story in support of Trump on every single daily issue. Can't they just elect someone (or a few someones if they're humans rather than robots and need to work in shifts) rather than subject us to dozens of people posting the exact same thing hundreds of times?

Here. These are his exact words, which apparently were communicated in written form to members of the House.

"At a time that it will not jeopardize investigative equities, we will make the interview transcripts public, subject to any necessary redactions for classified or sensitive information."

Call it whatever you want.
