To be found either innocent or guilty one has to rely on the substance of evidence gathered. Trump is stonewalling the process of the multiple Congressional investigations. If he could so easily be exonerated, then why would he order people not to answer subpoenas or to hand over requested documents? Proof is always in the pudding and in the evidence, that's why he wants none of it to come to Congress.

Trump knows that McGahn will have to tell them things under oath that Trump does not want put out there. Which is precisely the reason why Trump directed him to ignore the subpoena.

Trumps whole leadership strategy is about finding ways to blame everything on the Democrats. For two years his party controlled Congress and the only thing they accomplished was a tax reform bill. What would a special counselor investigate in 2014? The administration, like most western countries, received the report that the Kremlin was building a disinformation arm that could be used to interfere in Western democracies, which apparently was shared by Russian sources with the Americans in Moscow. Why would that require a special counsel? Special counsels are appointed to investigate matters where a potential conflict of interest exists with the normal prosecuting authority. What was the conflict of interest in 2014 that would prohibit the normal government agencies from investigating that report?

The report as I understood it found at least 10 instances of obstruction, whether there was an 'agreement' or not. The president's own actions likely constitute obstruction and he's still doing it. That's the evidence so for an it's more than enough to start impeachment proceedings. If it's PwoofTM you're looking for, one way or another an impeachment will sort that out. So let's air it all out I say.

Basically we have the Clinton Impeachment all over again. President Clinton was impeached by the house on one count of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice, two other impeachment articles – a second perjury charge and a charge of abuse of power – failed in the House.
Pretty much the same charges in the same house where Dems now want to charge President Trump. In both cases in the senate, impeachment did not nor will not pass. A 2/3 majority is required. Bottom line, like Clinton, President Trump will remain president and is highly likely to also be re-elected. This is all political theater and if history is any indicator will bode badly for the dems just as it did for the GOP all those years ago. If you're going to impeach do so, other than a footnote in the annals of history, it is irreverent and changes nothing.

The presumption of innocence is still the legal principle that one is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
This applies to Trump and anyone else you don't like

Mueller could not exonerate Trump because to be exonerated you first have to be found guilty

Trump didn't obstruct justice, and the Democrats are playing their supporters like a cheap banjo.

Only when the one being investigated is a Republican. If it's a democrat - you guys would be applauding. It would be refreshing if you'd just own your hypocrisy.
