Trump asks Supreme Court to shield financial records from House Democrats

Biden, Warren and Sanders don't have anything they want to hide from Democrats??? That's laughable, especially for Bernie. Where's your proof?

They have released their tax returns unlike Trump. What is he hiding?

AND.......... THE IRS REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH A CONGRESSIONAL SUBPOENA TO TURN THEM OVER TO CONGRESS! That's why it's been through a couple of federal courts already!!

Just how in the HELL do you think ANY investigation is done?

Because the IRS agrees if they found no criminal act (BTW its the IRS its their JOB) why do they need to turn over a person's Tax Returns. The Tax return belongs to the individual's who's name is on it and the IRS whom collects it. If there is NO legal grounds for the IRS to comply why should they?

The Congressional Subpoena has been challenged, DURING that time there is pause, JUST because the subpeona is issued doesnt mean you turn it over. If there is an appeal you dont just turn it over due to the subpoena.

If the Subpoena goes all the way to the SCOTUS (which it will) When the ruling comes down (in favor) the taxes will get released, IF NOT in favor (it sealed at Trumps discretion)

Again they the congressional s subpoena's are inquiries with weak grounds to begin with..... so good luck thats all I got to say.

1) Trump has never been charged or accused by the IRS
2) It is legally being appealed to which Trump has the RIGHT to do so
3) If it gets judged by SCOTUS thats it.... we wait till then

Hes Trolling... even if SCOTUS releases them IRS has had them with the FBI the whole time if there was a statutory criminal act, I would assume the IRS would have referred it by now.

They just want to see his numbers and criticize him.

Business experience falls on deaf ears around here. They don’t understand how much taxes the wealthy pay, and anyone who runs a company or otherwise produces a profit is under constant vigil by the IRS.
I work for one of the big 4 accounting firms, Of my tasks, I collate and bind tax returns. Some are those of well known public figures, even two professional sports teams. All of them are up there near the one percent. These individuals and entities do not pay taxes.

Again a personal attack what is with you people if you have no substance why respond with personal attacks.

A simple rebuttal works you know? SO what is NAIVE about, is it fact that the IRS has Trumps Taxes? What Federal Crime has the IRS referred to the FBI in which Trump is facing criminal charges? Answer the question or dont respond there is no need for personal attacks.

Are you really asking me if companies get away with breaking the law?

Holy crap.

Indeed. A bookend to the quality, affordable healthcare we received from the most transparent, scandal-free administration in history. :lamo

Hang on. Trump did the things l mentioned?

Yes there are ways to effectively do this. NOW here is the questions

1) Is it Illegal to file your taxes in a way that you end up PAYING no taxes?
2) In this event where X person does NOT pay actual taxes, There has to be a legal reason why? Deductions and Losses correct? THIS IS the legal way to reduce your TAX burden because of sustain actual losses
3) You have, it under a company/entity and pay out in Bonuses. BUT the company is a living entity that pays Taxes thus, legitimate Taxes? You cant avoid actual taxes?

To my final point. While they may be able to avoid Federal Taxes. They STILL have to buy things and pay state and local taxes that keep the economy going correct? So While they may avoid the X Tax brackets

They still pay their State/city local taxes that fund and pay the every day economy?

The same thing you're hiding by not posting your tax returns to DP.

Yes, to the same degree that Obama did the things I mentioned ed.

Uh, Obama released his tax returns, got Obamacare passed and was reducing our national deficit.

It probably sucks to compare that similar stuff and realise that the commie marxist black man is making the current president look like a thug.

Trump is not a private citizen. Transparency comes with the job.

Trump should order the IRS to release 10 years of tax returns belonging to every Democrat in Congress; both houses.

If the Republicans take the house, they will be impeaching Nancy Pelosi. Do you want their tax records public?

Many Boomers are racists wanting revenge on anyone they can.

So full of hate, they cannot think properly.

That's a lie...lol

The national debt almost doubled under Obama:

He can't. It's against the law.

He can't even look at anyone's tax returns, let alone order them released.

It's against the law for Congress to go public with Trump's tax returns, too. But, you don't seem to give a **** about that.

These are the actions of an innocent man. Uh huh.

Well, no. It's not illegal for Congress to go public with Trump's tax returns. It's complicated, but it has to do with the "Speech and Debate" clause in the Constitution.

It is, on the other hand, illegal for the IRS to not provide Congress with Trump's tax returns.

I know it can get confusing, but "debt" and "deficit" have distinct and different meanings.

Maybe to you:

My jaw dropped — literally — when I saw the chart. This takes data torturing to new heights. The national debt skyrocketed from $11 trillion to nearly $20 trillion on Obama's watch.

No, "debt" and "deficit" mean different things to everyone who speaks English.

Trump asks Supreme Court to shield financial records from House Democrats | TheHill

President Trump has asked the Supreme Court to shield his financial records from the Democratic-led House Oversight and Reform Committee, in the latest case to bring questions over separation of powers to the justices.

The case marks the second time Trump has appealed to the high court to prevent the disclosure of financial documents and sets the stage for a potentially groundbreaking ruling on the extent of congressional oversight authority and presidential power.
===============================================
The second time? Looks like he has something he wants to keep hidden from the Democrats.

I'm going to be crass here, but it's hard for me to comprehend that I've seen the first lady's breasts and I haven't seen djt's taxes.

Not any of our former Presidents or any Democrats in the current primary. Trump is uniquely concerned that his financial records hold secrets that would damage hm polically.

I also think that he is deathly afraid that we will find out he isn't nearly as rich as he says he is. A billionaire that owes $500 million is rich, but he's not a billionaire.
