There is a VERY real chance the democrats at the funeral would have attempted violence against the president.

democrats across the nation are murdering, looting, raping, and burning. While the real target of democrats is to destroy America and the Constitution, the focal point of the seething hatred of democrats is the president. It wouldn't be surprising for a democrat to seek to be a martyr by attacking the object of Communist insanity.

First don't worry what you think 'bothers' me. I am not interested in your personal interests and you can leave what you think of me out of it and discuss the topic.

To answer, it doesn't 'bother' me at all that Trump didn't attend the funeral or that Obama didn't attend one. That's not the point I'm trying to make. We can probably all agree that the funeral was better without him and that he was better off without it. Would have made small difference to his popularity as I said and he would have been disinterested in any case.

It does concern me that the president can be so petty as to state he had a personal feud with a civil rights leader, suggesting that's why he didn't attend. Don't pretend it was 'out of context,' that was literally his response to the question of how history would remember Lewis. He could have answered anything but instead made it personal - he said Lewis "should have come" to his inauguration. The president revealed he had an ugly soul.

It is a rhetorical question.

Let me phrase it in more direct, liberalspeak...

Obama did not attend Scalia's funeral, because he was trying to make a political statement, either that a liberal did not have to respect a conservative hero, or even, possibly, that a black man does not need to succomb to pressure to attend a white man's funeral.

This entire thread implies that Trump did not take political advantage of the fact that he could have been seen attending the funeral of a liberal black hero. Guess what? Trump does not have to acknowledge the fact that someone who tried to ruin his life is seen, by some, as a liberal hero.

And, again, on top of all this, it was not safe.
